There has to be a pic somewhere of Brett Stafford getting leveled by the Wrecking Crew. He's a good friend of mine's (B-1 '81) brother in law. Jackie Sherrill recruited him, and there's a really fun story to tell about after he chose the sips.

What was your response?

I got to know Brett well. He was a pretty decent bass fisherman and did well in tournaments. I got him a promotional deal on a boat from my company and he worked with me at some boat shows in the central Texas area.
He had like a carpet cleaning service or something like that around that time if I remember right.
Was a great guy. He told me a lot of stories about playing for tu.
I remember him talking about the sip game at Kyle where the crowd would not get quiet. He said that game was like a blurr nightmare to him.
I lost track of him the following years. Wish I knew how to get in touch with him.

There were two trains wearing #11 that day. Both ran over people.
