Hearing Dave South's voice takes me back in time more than the video.

I was sitting in the horseshoe and had a perfect view of that return. He made a beeline down the field straight toward us and ran through the back of the endzone right up to us.

One of my all time great Aggie football memories.

Lol 100%. Also funny, this was the year some players ran out and danced on midfield in front of the entire sip team at the end of the game unlike the sip cowards that waited until Aggie players were off the field. Mike Adams said they were bringing their dancing shoes to Kyle in '93 There was a fight before the game during Aggieland, Electric Leeland went 96 on a kor in that game too. Good times back then.

Sip cheerleaders ran through the band on the field at half time, never seen a guys face so red then the senior drum major ripping a sips ass on the sideline. A lot of hate back then.

The shadow of disdain and disgust gets taller as time marches on.

Dalton Brooks will have one of these moments come Friday night.

Under today's rules, we would have played for the NC and most likely won. Aggies lived life under an orange media microscope. Not as bad today but back then every major Texas newspaper had horns on the staff and the bias was obvious.


They ran Jackie out of College Station because he beat their ass 5 times in a roll and was building a dynasty.

Those days are gone, other than espn and a few other low class outlets, most are fair in their reporting.

It's been 33 years but you appear to have forgotten that we got absolutely skull dragged by Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl.
I loved that '92 team. Won't ever forget it. But that team may not have it made it past the first round of the playoffs. Certainly weren't beating Miami or Bama that year.

You appear to have forgotten that the burnt orange media was responsible for getting some of our best players suspended for that game. They couldn't take a chance on the Aggies getting at least a piece of a MNC.

A) Our players got paid for work they didn't do. I'm not arguing the media wasn't all over it but to blame them is stupid. We cheated and got caught. That's not the teasips fault.
B) Not a single defensive player was suspended for that game and the ND offense steamrolled us.
C) Doesn't matter. You're romanticizing that team. They were very good but they weren't great. They were not NC caliber.
We needed a miracle sack escape to beat Tech at Kyle. We beat Stanford 10-7. Baylor 19-13. Tulsa 19-9.
Any defense worth a damn would have shut down our offense in a playoff scenrio.

True for a lot of teams. But we would get flagged for taunting, holding, and two guys flagged for targeting.

Also, simultaneously as the BOMC unloaded their investigation of us, Jerome Bettis had been caught accepting a $50k "loan with no payback schedule" from a top booster.

Slocum suspended our boys immediately. Lou Holtz said he's playing (Bettis) until an investigation finds him guilty.

Everybody thinks Holtz is this great "father figure of wisdom". He isn't/wasnt, at all. Not just for this, much other as well. Insert slimy in front of father, drop wisdom and insert bullsh-t, and that description is better.
