TWO. THOUSAND. TEN. WAS THE LAST TIME WE BEAT THEM!
Do you know how long ago that was? That was back when we all still thought the iPhone 4 was peak technology and "Call Me Maybe" hadn't even been cursed upon humanity yet. That was the last time we sent the Longhorns home crying into their sad little $5 gas-station cowboy hats.

And ever since? Nothing. I am TIRED. I am STARVING. I want this win like oxygen. I want this win like WiFi. I want this win like the Aggie student body wants to pretend we didn't lose to Appalachian State.
Texas fans won't shut up. They won't EVER shut up. They're still talking about Vince Young like he's about to jog out of the tunnel any day now. They chirp all day about "We're baaaack!" like some kind of cult of delusion and sunscreen.

I want the Aggies to show up like it's the only thing keeping the planet spinning. I want the defense frothing at the mouth. I want Kyle Field shaking even though we aren't even playing there. I want every Longhorn dream shattered like a cheap windshield in a Texas hailstorm.

I want the kind of win that gets talked about for years, the kind of beatdown that makes Texas reconsider every life choice since 1883. I want them humbled. I want them silenced. I want the Aggies to deliver pure, unfiltered, historic PAYBACK.

Because 2010 was a long time ago.

And I'm done waiting.

Thanks, OP. Really insightful stat. I like how you leave out the fact that we've only played TWO times since then. You remind me of the people saying we hadn't beaten LSU in Baton Rouge since 1994 or whatever….but we didn't even play them from 1994-2012 other than once in a bowl game. Except your stat is even more dumb.

I was there too. Froze my butt off in that wind. But a great game by us. As a bonus, even got to watch a fight in the stands after the game.
I'm 5-1 in games at Austin. Prices nowadays though are more than I will pay.

Memories of 2010

A month before Christmas and all through the state
The horns were unhappy bemoaning their fate
But Thanksgiving night they had only one goal
Let's beat the Aggies and go to a bowl.

I knew their plans just had to laugh
But wouldn't you know it, we were tied at the half
The sips had scored on really great pass
To tell you the truth I was kind of aghast.

Already up by a seven-point score
They came down the field looking for more
They got to ten and then the horns stumbled
And Dave South announced "That guy got the fumble"

That mistake by the horns just paved the way
For an eighty-yard run by the great Cyrus Gray
So, we went to the half, and the fans saw the bands
And one of those two is the best in the land

The sips got the ball at the start of the third
And it happened so fast, it's kind of a blur
Horns threw a pick, and we kicked a field goal
They started over three points in the hole

Sips tried a run around their left end
But wouldn't you they fumbled again
Ags told their host thank you very much
A fade to Jeff Fuller was good for the touch.

Gray later scored on another long run
I said to myself, man this fun
But they scored two times cause our stupid stunts
Thet blocked a kick and we fumbled a punt

Sips for the ball with four minutes to go
And yes I was nervous I want you to know
They we really moving the ball
And then they got helped by a bogus ref call

They got to the twenty and then to the twelve
I was worried this was going to WELL
Then came THE PLAY of this great gridiron thriller
The pass was caught by the Aggies Von Miller

The horns were stunned and set there in shock
All the Ags had to do was run out the clock
So we kicked away and the ball hit the ground
But for some reason there were no sips around

The Aggies were yelling, saluting their heroes
The clock on the wall said it was all zeros
So, I heard the sips cry as they lit up their roaches
Let's bench all the players and fire all the coaches.

I'm 0-1 for games at DKR so I will not be going. In fact, I'm 0-3 for all Aggie games outside of Kyle Field so I should avoid all away games going forward.
