I think if many of you remembered how sips treated us when we left for the SEC and how they orchestrated the media blitz to claim we "left the state" and turkey neck Deloss Dodds statement of " we decide when we played again. " then you wouldn't have such a tepid rivalry.

Definitely urge you to read up on why we went to the SEC and how that played out. Remi yourself why this week is a more hatefilled week.

The entire campus atmosphere dripped with excitement/tension/nerves... I guess today you'd call it a vibe... it was intense. I remember impromptu BTHOtu chants breaking out in Sbisa. tu week was huge. Of course, on campus bonfire was a big part of it.

71 years old, Class of 76… at this time 50 years ago we beat tu 20-10 to go 10-0 in my senior year. The next two games were not good so my BAS needs a cure next week!

Rivalries forum was at it's peak during the 2010-2012 seasons.

The Baylor guys were all saying that Kenneth Starr would sue us and we couldnt leave if it would cost the state of texas $10 trillion dollars (Perryman Report), sip was laughing and giddy about "taking their talents" to the B1G/Pac 12 or whoever would pay them the most money while allowing them to have their failed network deal and spouting **** about "**** is perfect for SEC" and how they would never consider it because they were an institution of higher learning far beyond the hillbillies in the Southeastern Conference. They actually thought that them issuing a statement that they wouldn't play us because "scheduling is difficult" would be enough to come to our senses and not leave their ass for greener pastures.

And in the end, they all accepted their fates, Baylor is a dumpster fire, Texas tried to get some scheduling help in the first two years, and now it all comes down to a night game on Black Friday against the sips.

And you know who came up smelling roses and is actually a respectable school in my eyes? Texas effing Tech. I always root for those guys now (i spent my freshman year in Lubbock before transferring to A&M), and they are kicking ass this season and relegate the sips to, at best, the 3rd best team in the state.

"New Army" by most standards but old enough to know root for A&M and anyone who plays Texas.

Class of '81 here. We split the four games I attended while I was at A&M. The home team lost every game. Despite the fact that my daughter got her undergrad and law degrees at tu (and is no longer in my payroll as a result), I despise those arrogant mofos, always have, and always will.

Class of '06 here. I hate the sips with a fire that burns hotter than that of 10,000 Tech co-ed crotches.

When $Bill was the AD, Ags were seldom on TV and it was difficult to even find them on the radio in the Rolling Plains of Texas.

When we went to the SEC, I predicted we would be a perennial Mid SEC West dweller. But I could watch them on TV pretty much every week, even if we were playing a cupcake.

I heard OU tshirt fans and other Big 12 school fans saying stuff like "let them go", "good riddance".

As if they had to sign off on us exiting the Bigb12.
