The fact that they didn't give him a formal, written, notice of termination back whenever they "fired" him is just mind-blowing.
I get that its the backwoods of Lou-wees-i-anna, but I always thought they at least had an appreciation for basic employment law 101 principles. You wouldn't fire a clerk in the Registrar's Office without following basic HR dismissal procedures, which include a formal written notice of termination, but you would just verbally tell the highest paid, highest profile employee of the university, and by extension, the STATE, they are fired without following the basic procedures?
I mean, damn. WTH?
