Looks like we rank 109th out of 115 in FG % in the NCAA with Bond being 11-18. In contrast the IU kicker has not missed a FG this year (13-13) and the Hawaii kicker is a remarkable (22-22).
I still trust Randy with 0-40 yard kicks and extra points. And his stats there are good with the only miss against SC in the first half. But if the FG is 40+ yards we should probably be going for it on 4th and say 5 or less every time.
For example in the 1st qtr against SC it was 4th and 2 and Bond missed a 45 -yard FG. Even though the offense was @ss in the 1st half and we could not run or complete a pass, still should have gone for it, IMO. Converting short yardage there might have jumped started the Offense instead of us having to wait until the 2nd half.
