He seemed to be a legit candidate by some on here for the A&M when we hired Elko. How come his name has not popped up for any of these current openings?

Isn't it funny? Why isn't he the leading candidate for Arkansas, LSU or Florida? The talking heads all told us he was the perfect coach for us.

The sips were right that we should have considered him. I think we're just a relatively uneducated and also deeply bigoted fanbase who could never seriously consider someone whose last name might mean "drag*". Woe is us. I hope Elko doesn't destroy our whole program.

Interesting, as I believe he coached there previously. He was a hot name 2 years ago because he had good on-field results, but he hasn't had the same success since Sincere McCormick (RB) and Frank Harris(QB) left. He hasn't proven that he can consistently elevate the UTSA program to show that his success wasn't a 1 or 2 recruiting class flash in the pan. Fans are frustrated with him because he did well, then fell behind Texas State in terms of progress.

He seems like a decent coach and guy. It was odd saying that he thought USF would completely outmatch his team (which they did). I also tire of him complaining about lack of NIL funds. "God bless and Birds Up"

Believe it or not, some people were taking a victory lap on how we should have hired him rather than Elko this year. I'll have to go back and find that collection of football wisdom; it was really something.

This exactly... if those schools aren't willing to look at Jon Sumrall (8-2) or Eric Morris (9-1), they aren't looking at Traylor.
