M Reed threw a pic in the left corner into double coverage and it is identical to two other games.
Same play same INT.

Klein scares me for playoff football

You would think that our analytics guys would flag that play and it would get tossed.

That pick was on Reed 100%. Would be a TD if he doesn't under throw it.

Reed makes a repeat blatant mistake & its klein's fault?

Yes. If you can't make that play, don't call it.

If there is a pattern to the mistake, then yes. He is a coach and his job to figure out the issue or prevent the problem thru plays called

A bit more than 24 hours for the whining.

I don't think Reed's not capable of making that throw; he just had a bad half.

It was also particularly windy on the end zone interception. If a gust hit that ball it could've come up as short as it did.

The Mickey Mouse bull**** backward pass out of the wildcat was much worse.

It was NOT the same play as the LSU interception in the end zone. Completely different play compared to LSU- receiver running opposite direction.

Exactly right. Flat trajectory and defender between receiver and QB. why can't we figure how to run the ball inside the 5 yardline?

Same thing happened at Notre Dame. Play right before the game winner. Could have easily been a pic.

A pass thrown backward by a player not used to passing to a receiver not used to catching passes with potential disaster. What could go wrong?

If Reed put some air under the ball and put it deeper into the end zone it was 6. Nobody was helping over the top

It is Klein's fault if Reed really can't make that throw consistently in his sleep. It's a hard throw as over the LOS, potentially over a LB and over a DB in deep corner. DB baited him as there's no room for error. Trajectory isn't as easy as anyone seems to understand.

So, unless we have like a 6'4" to 6'6" jump ball type WR in that scenario, do not think that should be the play.

Will admit, didn't study the play to see if that route was to clear out a DB and Reed misread (he still does focus on 1 place and miss other open WR) vs. where he should have gone with the ball.

Double coverage as well...wich means there was another reciever that was probably free or more open.

Point being during this time in the game his qbr was o.oo and his chances of throwing it out of bounds while standing 10ft from beamer were pretty slim. Im kidding but felt that way

Thats how bad Reed was playing

Wide open
Put it on back pylon and it's an easy TD

DB had great coverage. Needed to be perfect in the corner or just overthrown out of bounds. Shouldn't have been thrown.

That was a Big12 play call. Not enough room or time for that play to work in the SEC.

It was an incredibly dumb call, but our typical "JUST RUN THE BALL" posters don't seem to understand that you can't just line up at the goal line and pound it right up the middle three times (like Kentucky tried to do against texas). Reed needed to get outside, but that was NOT the way to do it.

How do we know the screw up wasn't just Morrow totally freaking out? We've run that play a few times before. Fake the toss and RB runs it in. How do we know Morrow didn't just lose it and make a freshman mistake?

Granted, I still think it was a bad call. You absolutely cannot put your guy in that position to make that mistake.

Disagree I don't think you can get it over the SC guy's head and still keep it where our guy can catch it in bounds

I have a theory on the SC player who was wearing all white was standing in "T" in the end zone which was painted white and Reed just did not see him

Correct. The receiver who cut underneath, think it was a TE, was wide open. I was screaming throw it there & them he threw into double coverage, late & short.

He also had room to run.

The "CALL" was for Reed to pass to the Open Receiver! Reed's Prevagen hadn't kicked in yet.
Everyone of you write Klein an apology (sorry I was in the band) post right now....

No the DB did not. Watch it again. Craver had him beat it was woefully under thrown.

That's a bad theory. When the ball was released the DB was at the 2 yard line and Craver was 1yd deep in the end zone.

If Marcel puts the ball in the corner where he should have, it's a TD.

the WR had beat his DB by a mile. It wasn't "covered" or "dangerous" - it was just underthrown by 5-7 yards.

If your QB can't make that throw consistently, it's a problem. I'm not taking it out of the playbook simply because he has had a few bad tosses this year on similar routes.

It looked like it was designed as a pitch but when the scar defender penetrated Morrow ad libbed and threw it. Still a bad play selection.
