I'd say he probably plays a fair amount.

Normally I'd say he should play an entire half but I wouldn't mind if he played first quarter or if he prepared as a backup to give O'Neill some meaningful minutes.

Just considering how many games we need him for in a playoff run.

But then if we don't play well vs tu it'll be "rust".

Well for decades it's been kind of mentioned that we will play 1st stringers ALL of the 1st Qtr, 1 series in the 2nd Qtr and then a Statement series to open the 2nd half.

PROBLEM is we screw around it's still a 1 score game until late in the 1st and throw a 3 & out egg on that opening "Statement' series in the 2nd half.

AND THAT dictates the starters (including Reed) play more than we plan for.

Also don't count your chickens before they hatch.

If I'm in charge I want to get him to over 360 all purpose yards and 4 TD's as fast as possible & then let him sit.
