I don't recall seeing him on the field tonight.
Don't know why. Perhaps some kind of injury.
Seems like he has not had much playtime this year.

This. Owens and Morrow are playing really well. Smith is showing to be a very good short yardage back. Daniels will still get his chances. Hopefully we still have at least six more games to play so we might need him if somebody gets nicked up or somebody's level of play drops off.

He's simply not an SEC caliber running back. If he's playing, we're in trouble. One of the reason we fell off end of season last year.

Maybe not SEC caliber featured running back but I bet there are a lot of teams that wish they had him as a change of pace back.

We have quality rb's coming out of our ears this yr. They have all looked good imo. Smith in particular really has stepped up imo. Coaches have done really well with that group.

He played in several 2 back sets yesterday.

They trusted Morrow a lot yesterday and his inexperienced showed at times.

He's the third down back but this wasn't a good matchup for him. Mizzou has a strong front seven, so we used backs that run with more power this game. Also we have a really good stable of running backs so competition to get carries is pretty high.

Elko may also be smart enough to save one back for the play-offs as security rather than death by a thousand cuts.
