Who knows. It'd be interesting.
I will no longer discuss politics with you. I reject your premises and world view. I am finished trying to compromise with you.

I don't see Saban going back to coaching. He seemed pretty comfy in that recliner for his birthday. If he wanted to deal with the NIL and changing college landscape he would have done it at Alabama where he had the keys to the city.

Seemed like there was more juice behind the Saban to LSU rumors like a week ago then there is today.

I don't think it's happening, which means it's Kiffin or bust for them.

Doubtful. Why would he want to jump back into that circus? He left because he had to personally deal with NIL rather than bagmen having to do it in secret.

Saban has talked extensively that the current college football system is chaos. It would go against everything he said to come back. It should be shocking

LSU fans are just as delusional as the sip fans.

NIL took his mojo away and the big advantage he had, now everyone gets paid, that is why he retired

I don't think it's likely, but I don't think it's impossible

Figured if lsu was desperate enough he may take the price tag.

Why would Saban want to step in that #%&@hole? Money? He can get that anywhere.

Only way I see this happening if they name him coach, AD, and governor.

Dude is in his 70's.

Go ask your grandpa if he wants to go to work full time 24/7.

Somehow I don't think he needs more money. Time is more valuable.

Doubt he wants to give up his rental hosting gig.

No way he goes there. There's a lot of risk -- whether his culture is built for NIL, resurgence of us & sip, with ole piss & paperclip threatening, coonass political ffffery being somehow worse this time around -- that could make his second lsu tenure crash before it takes off AND greatly tarnish his historical stature from his run at bama. Add to that he's old and he doesn't need the money.

Could you please go to some other websites and tell them about the rumor of Aggie Dad 26 taking the job at LSU

Zero chance he returns to coaching. He's protecting his legacy. He knows he cant win now that the playing field is no longer skewed like it was when he was cheating on an epic level.

Pretty sure Belichick has assured that not one single top tier retired coach will ever come out of retirement again.

0.0% chance. Saban retired as he didn't like, care for, or agree with the new world of rampant transfers and out of control NIL.

He is happy to be on CGD set and discuss teams, players and games, but isn't going to coach again in CFB.

This.

Not a chance he goes back to coaching. That's just drunk Cajuns working themselves up into a frenzy

Seriously doubt their new AD has the swagger to make any earth shattering hires.

AD addressed this a few days ago.

" "Nick Saban and I have a standing conversation probably every two to three weeks," Ausberry said. "We're good friends, first of all, and a person that I admire a lot ...

'No way he's coming back to football, OK?' Mrs. Terry's not going to let him. So, that's not going to happen. Let's get that out the way soon. If he was and he was interested, I'd go drive over there and pick him up right now and bring him back.""

They're going to hire a retread or someone if any other team hired would be laughable to them. And convince themselves it was the plan from the start.

Good luck with this year's coaching carousel.

Betting odds favor Sumrall or Brady for LSU. I'm not sure that either would take that job over Florida, PSU, FSU or even Auburn today. Their Governor/Athletic Director/whatever his role is today seems determined to scare away any good coaches this cycle. Kiffin or Saban are weird pipe dreams. $54m to a guy the Fake Cajun is going to hinder them for a few years at least.

And while we're on the subject of LSU, it's great seeing them struggle now. They're surrounded by programs that are more stable and are also producing better recent results...OU, A&M, Ole Miss, Alabama, Texas...and A&M/Alabama/Texas have more money than LSU, too. I'm optimistic that our Cajun "friends" are in for a rough time.

Dude is not going back to the circus of coaching. He has already made bank….and he is currently making bank with College Gameday, his commercials, his Mercedes dealership, etc.

Rumors of this, that and the other are everywhere

But yes, ask Ms Terry…

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Saban won't go back.

He's not of the game now and has no long term potential

Unless they give him a guaranteed 8-12 yr, 15-20 million per year with additional bonuses, it makes no sense
