It was beyond annoying how many LSU fans are always trying to put us down as someone not worthy of being their rival, especially in wake of the swamp kitties losing Alabama as a permanent SEC rival earlier this year.

Well, we just went into your house, took it over, threw you out and had a giant party for the nation to watch. The aftermath was a sports department in turmoil beyond even the wildest of imaginations. It is so bad that your governor has turned into one of the biggest clowns in the country.

I wonder if next year when we come back into to town to throw that exact same party if you will consider rivals then.

If you read their crap online, you'll assume we're a huge rival of theirs. Then there's the Tigers in Houston that hate A&M

In Louisiana and away from the internet, its Bama, Florida, and Ole Miss that they hate the most. Decades of history there

If they hire a coach who has them playing well then they're gonna be out for blood in Baton Rouge next year. Similar to the 2019 beat down we received after the 7 OT game. But I'm doubtful they'll be competitive next year given the chaos going on in the athletic department and with how many good jobs are available in the coaching market this year. Only time will tell.

So, I have worked with many LSU grads (in Houston, so quite common).

Officially they will say they have no rivals at all, they just think of every team as tiger bait, blah blah....

To some degree, that is true, I do think that's their "culture". But what's funny is even going back to the 1990s, when we usually beat them, their actions don't match their "stated policy" of no rivals.

Just check their boards before and after games with Texas A&M. Usually quite different than most other schools.

They have a limit wrt $.

We have beaten them 5 of the last 8 and are a blown call in 2021 away from 6 of 8.

Did anyone remember hearing during the broadcast the Aggie crowd yelling "WHO'S YOUR DADDY"? I think it was in the middle of the 4th quarter when the LSU fans started leaving. If we weren't one of their rivals before, I'm pretty sure we are now. We just put their football program back 2 or 3 years, they aren't going to forget that any time soon.

Pretty sure everyone was chanting "Fire Kelly" but if a Who's Your Daddy chant broke out, that's cool I guess.

Hmmmmm, so keep in mind this was during the broadcast, the audio wasn't exactly the greatest for the ambient stadium noise and you had two commentators speaking. So I might have heard "Fire Kelly", as "Who's your Daddy". Maybe that's just what I wanted to hear. But thinking about it now, that's just not something an Texas Aggie crowd would chant, I don't think.

Not completely true. Saban arrived in 2000. So going back 50 years from there - to 1950. LSU actually won a NC in 1958 and from 1958-1973 they were really good (132-39-6, 0.763) and went to bowl games 13 out of 16 years.

They did have some down years starting in about 1973 until Saban got there, but still a sprinkilng of good years in there (1985, 1986, 1987, 1996, 1997 all 9+ win seasons).
