I also wouldn't be surprised if Bama is #1 with those 4 high end wins.

To me, the top 4 are pretty much set. Just the order remains to be seen.

What am I missing w/ tOSU? They're 7-0 but only 6 games listed in the quadrants. Grambling doesn't count since they are FCS I guess?

We won't be because usually the selection committee uses the first poll to advertise the current leaders in the opinion polls though pushing non blue blood teams down. But ya never know.,,

They have us at #8. Seems about right! I am not sure why anyone would think we are better than tu (#7) and ND (#5). Actually, USC at #9, with two losses and an SOR 29 points behind our #1 SOR is really close to passing us up. We should watch out for Utah. They are only 3 spots behind us, with a SOR of 31 and a SOS of 53, compared to A&M's 14.

SOR is derived from FPI. If you reject FPI as a capable predictive tool then you should go ahead and reject SOR as well.

Don't forgot Penn State at #21. Haven't won a conference game yet but that doesn't stop FPI from putting them in top 25...lol.

He is basically a go-to metric people use for baseball and basketball analysis because there is much more OOC comparisons in those sports.
