Off camera there was an altercation between Ricks and a lsu WR with a ref standing between them and Ricks retaliated and was called extending the drive that led to points.
Pure stupidity.

It didn't help that Rick's retaliated by shoving the LSU player with the ref standing between them. Probably lucky he didn't get ejected.

It was dumb but it wasn't like he clubbed him. Looked like he slapped his helmet. Refs should ah e let that go. LSU guy was not going to get hurt from the ***** slap.

Refs are never going to let that go when it is right in front of them.
That penalty made me so angry. But Ricks played very well in the 2nd half so I was able to move on.

Still waiting to hear that LSU was fined $50k for an injury timeout after the setting of the ball.

I believe this is the 3rd personal fowl penalty against Ricks this year. Ricks must have a bit of a short fuse. I have wondered how proper coaching handles this kind of issue.

As a teacher, I've used this hypothetical so many times when students get into with each other. The "he hit me first" excuse is always the first thing out of their mouths. I'll say, "if a football player hits somebody, and the other guy hits him back, who gets the penalty?" They'll pause, and I'll say "always the second guy". Fair or not, it's true. Our guys have to be smarter than that, especially when it turns a 4th and long into an automatic 1st.

I thought it was BS until the replay in the third. Ricks literally whacked the guy in the helmet with the ref standing in front of him. Boneheaded play to say the least.

You mean your students don't instantly get this??? What's going on in this state?
