No not chlamydia…
If tiger stadium is truly loud, and our offense can't clap for the snap, and we have to resort to something like the knee lift, do we think this will cause an issue with offense chemistry / effectiveness / play timing and execution?

Lifting a knee is a key component in getting the clap.

From what I have seen, Elko is a very good game day coach. It seems he pays attention to details. I am sure he is well aware of the noise and hostile environment they will face and will have then prepared. I have faith!!!

Maybe you should watch our games & see how our snaps occur.

Well this is awkward, but "the clap" actually refers to gonorrhea. The more you know….

IMHO I think the clap snap count is stupid and in no way should the D be penalized for clapping when they are trying to communicate with each other.

Well coaches disagreed and explicitly put in the rules about clapping if the offense is clapping.

They were using the leg lift thing vs Arkansas . It was loud at times there.

IMHO that is a natural act and gesture when trying to get the attention of teammates ina loud environment. I don't consider it "disconcerting signals" or whatever they call that penalty.

Also I have never been on the field at Kyle Field or other loud environments for the visiting team, but I don't understand how a clap is any louder than what an audible snap count would be.

Guess I am wrong as so many teams use it. IMHO though the road team is having a hard time with communication and hearing the snap count should just do what you often see in the pros where the OG looks back at the QB and when the QB is ready he signals the OC to snap the ball when he is ready.

Also the clapping thing just looks stupid…

At some point we had the center call the snap when I was coaching. Really the only players that need to hear an audible snap signal is the line the rest of the O goes on ball movement anyway. It would be easy enough to have the center yell the snap count as he snapped the ball once he got the ready signal from the QB whatever you choose that signal to be; raised knee, pointing to the ground, tap on the sholder by the gaurd whatever...
