Can you imagine this place if our AD came out and said we can't afford compete in football.

I noticed how he commented on the lopsided W-L prior to A&M joining the SEC and how we quickly caught up. Guess who couldn't afford to compete in the good old days. Tables have turned.

yeah, it's like t.u. crowing about their series record over us, when the total margin is accounted for by their '50s and '60s record vs the all white all male military college vs the big state school with no scholly limits.

He seems pretty level headed, but I gotta call out a few things:

- A&M is weird - How so?
- He's pissed that there were people wearing maroon in the student section. Does he not understand how many Texas kids who couldn't get into A&M and tu go to Arkie? Their Aggie friends came to hang out with them for the weekend.
- Resources? I hear this excuse from an Arkie buddy, it's hilarious how they cling to this like it's reality. This clown says this while walking around beautiful stadium that is peppered with Walmart logos.

I didn't take his all-time record comment anywhere near the way the sips hold dearly to that. His point was clearly how much we've dominated them since joining the SEC.

If you look at where they land on NIL and in the portal they don't have the resources to compete with the top teams. He made a valid point about Vanderbilt, but is that sustainable over the long haul. Just because they have a Walmart branded stadium doesn't mean they can compete in NIL. Their AD knows this because he can see the finances.

Vanderbilt has money. Hell when we first joined the SEC I was shocked to learn that Vandy was paying their AD over 3 million per year. That was some serious coin for an AD back then.

Vanderbilt has money. Hell when we first joined the SEC I was shocked to learn that Vandy was paying their AD over 3 million per year. That was some serious coin for an AD back then.

Does Vanderbilt have rich alumni. Absolutely. But according to Google our alumni base is 5x Vanderbilt for example. Plus they have zero history since most of their small alumni base didn't grow up as football fans. There is a numbers game that will make it very difficult for them to sustain high level football success. You can't count on replacing Diego Pavia every few years. That guy is a real difference maker for them.

They almost always almost win.
