How many long plays have been called back on a late holding call this year?

EVERY ****ING YEAR!!

That sequence of the phantom hold and then the no call on the OBVIOUS facemask was ludicrous

No holding calls on their OL

It's egregious

WE are the top ranked SEC team and should be getting balanced officiating if not preferential treatment!!

They should get the game ball in the Arkansas locker room

Nobody outside of college station and Texas A&M former students wants this team to succeed.

They had one holding call on them in the first half.

The missed hold that should have been a safety followed by one two plays later on us invented out of thin air is a sequence that thankfully didn't cost us the game. That's the difference between 17-point lead and first and 20. An official just inventing a call out of thin air because he felt like it.

I'm not making an accusation but I'm speculating there's some line manipulation going on here. Either that or they are just awful. I kind of just think they are awful to be honest.

More penalties were called on ark than us

Every single other year it's biased against us in big games because the SEC is trying to protect its high ranked teams so the get in the playoffs.

Now that we're undefeated it's SEC just hates us.

Which ones were complete bunk? I'm willing to consider any calls you saw on Arky that were BS like we had. Not every call against us was garbage.

16 accepted penalties in the game (combined)

I don't think it's some sort of big conspiracy. I just think it's as simple as SEC Refs are really bad.

agree, but the lack of some flagrant holding on Howell is criminal!

I felt like the officiating was more in our favor early but the late call on us could have resulted in a loss. I just don't believe they can keep their minds off the game situation…If Reed's touchdown stands the games over and the ref let that effect him.

My biggest gripe about officiating, nobody calls them out. There were probably 10 calls today in games I watched that replay showed were poor. The announcers hem and haw and the guest official almost always finds some way to justify it. What makes these bozos so delicate that they can't be justifiably ridiculed if they're screwing up?

Well, judging by your flair here at TexAgs, you seem very invested in the program.

The SEC (and others) are not protecting "the highest ranked teams." They are protecting the teams they've decided to invest in over a multi-season period. Wake up, my friend: that's not us. Worse yet, all of our immediate neighbors (sip, lsu, paperclip) are in the group that media and the conference has anointed. IOW that'll never be us.

Our only sane strategy at this point is to directly attack the means of this preferential treatment (since we'll never be chosen as a beneficiary). Ratcheting up the scrutiny, accumulation of data, and escalation of accountability on officiation is just one facet of what needs to happen.

It helps if you -- perhaps misled by the weight of your own sunk cost -- can broaden your awareness to see this and get on our side. At the least, don't antagonize those of us that are trying to fix things for the program.

It was in Fayetteville.

Officiating was mostly fine. At the end of the game they obviously started calling the score. Ignoring penalties on the side thats behind while feeling free to call things to negate big plays on the team thats ahead. Its kind of a basketball thing, but I also see it often in high scoring football games too

I understand the BAS given last year...

It's not about the total number, it's about timing and consistency. The "hold" that brought back Reeds 57 yard TD far outweighs a false start or two. And if they're going to call a hold there, there's no way you can genuinely not call holding on Arky in the end zone the next series.
