It's looking like they are coming to BR that week. The only other option would be OU/Ole Miss.

Won't go to an Ole Miss game in back-to-back weeks. I think it will be the South Florida/ Memphis game. Two ranked Group of 6 teams that are basically playing for the one playoff spot.

IF ole miss loses to GA and IF we beat Ark., and IF LSU beats Vandy....the A&M at LSU game is by far and away the most intriguing week 9 game. Its always a crazy atmosphere down there, plus the "Is A&M real this year?" narrative, and we haven't won @ lsu since joining the SEC. Lots of story lines.

Saturday's show averaged 2.8 million viewers from Tuscaloosa. This season has already delivered College GameDay's five most-watched telecasts ever.

They aren't passing up a top 10 SEC matchup at night in Baton Rouge for South Florida and Memphis.

Maybe, maybe not. GameDay tries to do at least one of these games each year.

Remember when posters whined about wanting to watch regular season games that really mattered if someone lost...

That's what these G5 games are. And I'm guessing that those posters and most of the country actually want to watch teams like Ohio State, LSU, Texas, or Alabama, regardless of the number of losses. It's why there is the creep up in the number of playoffs teams.

So for those who lament the "One loss you're out" regular season... There is still content for you...

USF-Memphis may be the most important game of that weekend due to playoff implications. Some might even consider it to be an early playoff game.

It's one of the most misleading "facts" on this board.

It's like saying TCU hasn't beat us for 52 years.

Well, ya know, when you've only played someone once during the last 30 of those 52 years, there's not a lot of chances to beat them.

Yeah, a cheating ref that didn't give us the take away on the punt that would have ended the game in 2021.

Don't forget about the cheating ref that didn't call the clear pre-snap offsides and let Kyle Allen?'s 60+YD INT (took the deep shot in light of the obvious offisdes)

LSU had a half dozen seasons were they lost four or more games since our 1995 game with them. Even in 2-3 loss years they were upset by teams with mediocre records those years like Arkansas, Kentucky and Tennessee, two of those losses in Baton Rouge. Whether favored or underdogs, you can't win 'em if you don't play 'em.

Series stopped in 1995, had we kept playing LSU in even years in Baton Rouge it would of been 8 games played in Baton Rouge

Realistically 1998 IMO would be the only year I'd feel somewhat confident saying we would have won at LSU.
We were very competitive vs Florida State on a neutral field , Florida state did lose next week to NC State but didn't lose again until BCS title game vs Tennessee in Fiesta Bowl. LSU not very good , just 2-6 in SEC. Our offense struggled most of the year, heavily relied on defense.. I'd say it been a 27- 13 Aggie win

2000- if we were to win a 2nd game this would be my pick . But we were a 7-5 team.but some close losses . Lost at Notre Dame to open the season by 2 scores (24-10) so nothing there to claim we would have beat an eventual top 25 LSU team in Baton Rouge . This was Nick Saban 1st year at LSU and they had some early struggles , they lost to UAB at home then turned around next week and beat #11 Tennessee. This one imo is a toss up up but I'd say 28-24 LSU win

2002- likely a low scoring competitive game . Ags scored a combined 17 points in non conference games vs Pitt and Virginia Tech. LSU struggled offensively early also.. I'd say this would been a 20-7 type LSU win

2004- Aggie defense was bad. A game in Baton Rouge would been no different than the 41-21 loss we had at Utah. LSU offense not as good as Utah but would been 2 score win for LSU in a game that was never really that close .. 31-17 LSU win

2006- likely an LSU comfortable, win A&M had some good moments In 2006, OT win on road vs ranked oklahoma state, win at home vs ranked Mizzou, win in Austin but had some bad games also.
4 point win over Army in San Antonio , 3 point win over 6-6 Kansas, back back home losses to oklahoma and Nebraska . Obliterated by 35 in bowl game vs Cal.
LSU 28-10

2008- LSU by 21+ , we were terrible

2010- considering they beat us by 17 on a neutral field I would not pick us to win a game on their home field
