He's pretty good. Needs to work on putting a little more touch on his passes, but certainly a top half of the SEC QB.

He's serviceable. Could you imagine this offense with a stud quarterback? It would be what separates us.

Pretty good. Will continue to improve. A lot better than most QBs we've had since JFF.

Yep, imo he is clearly the best qb we have had since JFF. Perhaps we have had better game managers since then, but he is the most talented and highest ceiling.

I agree. People who are criticizing don't understand how he has done very well against three VERY good defenses the last three weeks.

I agree... he's played pretty well so far. Now if he could just develop some touch on the long throws he'd be unstoppable.

The success of the offense goes with Reed's accuracy. When he's on, there is no stopping it. When he's off, we stall.

If he can improve his "touch" on deep balls and some short throws, he would be the leading Heisman candidate.

#4 team in the country and Reed is cooking and some people think we could do better

Big Reed fan last year and thought he would take a big step this year, but he has not. His QBR is lower than last year and is currently 9th in the SEC.

With the Reed that went 8/9 for 160 and a TD, we are in the playoffs.

With the Reed the rest of the game, 8/17 for 74 and an INT, we will lose min 2 games.

Overthrowing wide open TD passes by 5-7 yards has got to stop

Seems like he's a solid kid as well as a solid SEC qb.

I'm a Marcel fan. Like all the dudes on our team, but he hasn't shown he's a good passer beyond 20 yards. In fact he's close to the bottom in the SEC. Again. I hope he turns this around but more than likely we're going to have to have some incredible play calling by Klein to compensate. We can't just pound the ball without LeVeon, and without a deep ball, our offense just became much more limited.

The Schrödinger's passer. You swear he isn't passing that much but he actually has pass yards.

With that being said, hopefully he continues to improve. It seems like Klein is pleased with his progress, but Reed will have to be able to do more than what he's doing right now moving on.

With that also being said, it's pretty clear Reed is running much less and is more cautious when doing so to avoid injuries. Pate has an interesting video on it, but most teams are more concerned about making it through the season with the least amount of injuries due to the NIL/Portal just thinning out every team's depth.

Overall I think he's good and the best we have. He's better than at least 80% of the other QBs starting in CFB but if we want to achieve big things this year dude has got to work on a couple of things.

-I know it sounds cliche now but he's gotta take those check downs more often. I really think this offense is pretty unstoppable if he takes the shorter passes sometimes.

-He cannot have moments like throwing into double coverage like he did last night. Trying to seal the game, and he throws a ball he has no business throwing into double coverage to potentially flip the momentum (luckily our D stood up again). He got away with a very poor pass at ND on that last drive that shoulda been INTd and shoulda lost us the game but it was dropped.

-He's gotta use his legs more

There's going to come a game where we are going to line up in a formation we've use all year that has routinely led to a handoff. Everything is going to be done exactly as we always do it. Except Marcel is going to pull the ball and score a big TD.

I'm predicting LSU.

Can we not acknowledge that he's "average" but Craver and Concepcion are exceptional? Look I'll agree he's a gamer, but until he starts consistently hitting over 65% of his passes I can't call him the other g word.

Meanwhile, Craver and Concepcion are killin it and slicing every defense like butter! Remember when we couldn't get a receiver even open last year?! I hope we'll start giving them more YAC opportunities since Reed can't seem to hit the deep balls enough and they can BURN!

His receivers are great and the kid shows up when it matters. But his stats and QBR are unfortunately way below "good"

Hard to argue this. I still do not understand people who have any negativity against Reed. You people do realize that Reed is a HUGE reason why we are undefeated?

He continues to improve every game. More than happy with Reed. In 2026, he will absolutely be a Heisman front runner. He is gonna get us a CFP birth this year along with the entire offense and defense.

Mond is a pretty good comparison. With how fast each is- you'd think they'd be better at moving the chains with their feet. Mond was more of a check down guy... Although I think that was partially a Jimbo issue. In contrast, Reed probably doesn't check down enough.

Johnny was average while Evans and Swope were exceptional.

Great players routinely get the ball to great playmakers. It's not like they are routinely having to go grab balls wildly off target. He is putting it where it needs to be for them to make plays.

Mond was an absolute joke compared to the skillset and playmaking ability, both throwing and running, of Reed.

We won despite Kellen Mond.

In Reed we trust. As mentioned above, a little touch on the go balls would be yuge. Nickname should be "The Howitzer". Those deep balls are angry!

He doesn't need 'more touch' he just has no feel for it at all. Hes excellent in a lot of other aspects so it may end up not hurting us later in the season.
