I have already heard from sip about their mighty win over Oklahoma; an impressive victory against an Oklahoma team not at full-strength.

They were preseason #1 and dropped out in like 5 weeks time. This game should have been business as usual, but instead they are celebrating an upset win. They seem genuinely happy about this.

Are these people stupid or just a bunch narcissistic delulu's trying to change the narrative?

It doesn't matter. Look at their schedule (and ours for that matter).

If they win, it's deserved. If they don't, it's not.

Same as us. Their preseason hype is gone.

of course. Because it puts eyes of TVs.

But, they will have to win. Not just be anointed like they were preseason.

There are some Ls coming on that schedule. That OU team was not good. Florida looked better.

And they played a severely crippled QB who shouldn't have played in the game. That's on OU and Venables. It was a "good win" for tu, but it was hardly impressive.

OU imploded, but even with an injured QB, they still had more passing yards than tu.

The best I can give tu is that they didn't make any major mistakes. But there was nothing in there that suggested Florida was a fluke.

Somehow I doubt you've "already heard from sip about their mighty win over Oklahoma". Most Longhorn fans I know were just surprised OU's offensive line was actually worse than ours. We're ecstatic about the win, though, because it's our arch-rival and we hate them. Who wouldn't be?

Yes. Wasn't OU the #6 team in the country? And still top 15 even after the loss.

Well, the local sports talking heads here in Austin are claiming that we all saw Manning "grow up right before our eyes. seens a little premature considering everything with this kid has been premature.. It's laughable how quick they are to jump back on that bandwagon.

I'd say Manning had a nice game management moment. He may have turned a corner and will be great from here on out. However, he probably has a ways to go. His line played way better and that is the true story for the horns. That and running the ball is where the growth happened.

One would think that Sark would have used the run first approach from day one.

To be fair, after losing to FL some of their fans thought their season was over.

Now they realize they still control their own destiny.

Maybe Mateer's thumb played a role. Maybe not. But, regardless, I just don't think that's a very good OU team. And tu did a lot of dumb stuff in that game. Any fan puffing out their chest and boasting after that, is delusional. But, we've been known to be a bit delusional ourselves.

The best Saturday in the fall is when the sips lose and the Ags win. We have had 2 of those Saturdays this year already. I hope there are at least 2 more.

Texas is a 12.5-point road favorite at Kentucky and will probably be a road favorite at Mississippi State, but I won't be surprised if Mississippi State beats Texas. It would be hilarious if Mississippi State loses a road game at Florida on Saturday for their 15th consecutive SEC loss and snaps that losing streak with a win over Texas next Saturday.

Texas will probably be a home favorites over Vanderbilt and Arkansas, and a road underdog at Georgia. I think Texas will lose to Georgia and either Mississippi State or Vanderbilt for a 7-4 record before playing us.
