No. They are clickbait sports. Nothing can be learned from them. They took the horrible direction espn took and made a worse version of it.

And lets be honest, what early morning show on a Tuesday morning is going to kill it? The show is in its 4th week, it may or may not work, but to already write it off seems silly.

Clearly we have different definitions of doooooshbag. He is funny. People take him so seriously. People fall for his shtick. Why do you believe he is surrounded by sycophants. Plenty of people on Barstool bark back at him. But he is the boss and writes their checks, so probably just like you and I, we are nice to our bosses.

No, I prefer random folks on youtube who actually discuss sports. Portnoy and his army of trolls are vapid. They lack substance.

I've never been a fan of Kayce Smith and her potty mouth. So, I just don't watch anything from Barstool. I get that other people enjoy that kind of stuff. But, nobody is forcing anyone to watch it.

Their series with Jon Gruden whiteboarding football concepts has been excellent.

He may be unlikable, but he's usually right.

I don't personally care for Portnoy and a lot of his content/schtick as has been mentioned, but Barstool as a whole puts out enough variety of content that I find things I enjoy.

You can tell who on this thread is making broad assumptions of "no one at Barstool knowing ball" and so they wont listen to anything they put out. Or not liking 1 or 2 people who they get fed on their algorithms who are annoying.

T-Bob, Liam Bluntman, Big T, Brandon Walker, Big Cat, PFT all know enough ball and are more entertaining than listening to a Josh Pate.

The interviews they get on PMT are enough for me to try and listen to them a couple times a week.

You can hate Barstool if you want, but what they have built, to me, is impressive. To give a blanket "Barstool is stupid because I don't like Portnoy, or Kayce Smith" seems like low hanging fruit and shallow.

To each his own I guess. If you don't like Barstool for their schticks and gimmicks, definitely don't listen to The Yak!

I listen to Unnecessary Roughness, it's pretty good except Brandon the Miss St guy is annoying. T Bob is great. Kayce is alright with me.

Pardon My Take is one of if not the most popular sports podcasts on the internet. Those guys are awesome and do know football. I have been a huge fan since the beginning.

If you're going to Barstool for any kind of legit breakdowns outside of the interviews....you're looking in the wrong place.

Barstool has a lot of different options and Dave doesn't actually do a ton of content these days anyway.

All that being said - Wake Up Barstool is not good.
