If Auburn pulls out the upset this afternoon, does GameDay come here next week? Or… Does ESPN hold off for the showdown with (Lord Willin') Undefeated Aggies vs lsu in October?

I'm guessing they'll hold off , considering the bama vs georgia & penn st. Vs oregon games on the slate for next week also.

I think I answered my own question.

As you were.

Have we ever been the road team for college gameday before? All I can really remember are games at Kyle Field

How far out does SEC Nation announce where they are going? If Auburn wins this game today they may come here.

Oregon/Penn State seems like the place to be next week.

Even if Auburn wins this, keep them the hell away from our game.

I'd prefer winning under the radar and being the silent killer

I don't want ESPN GameDay to come to Aggieland this year. ESPN College GameDay has been to College Station 8 times. We are 1-7 in those games, and 5 of those 7 losses were by 7 points or fewer. Our only ESPN College GameDay win was a 45-38 2-OT win over Tennessee on 10/8/2016.

11/11/2000: 35-31 loss to Oklahoma
11/4/2006: 17-16 loss to Oklahoma
9/8/2012: 20-17 loss to Florida
9/14/2013: 49-42 loss to Alabama
10/8/2016: 45-38 2-OT win over Tennessee
9/8/2018: 28-26 loss to Clemson
8/31/2024: 23-13 loss to Notre Dame
11/30/2024: 17-7 loss to Texas

ESPN College GameDay will probably hold off until we play at LSU. It could be a battle of undefeated 7-0 teams, but LSU has tough road games at Ole Miss on Saturday and at Vanderbilt on 10/18. I won't be surprised if LSU loses to either Ole Miss or Vanderbilt before playing us.

We are currently 0-3 in road games when ESPN's College GameDay is on site.
9/23/1995: 29-21 loss at Colorado
10/22/2016: 33-14 loss at Alabama
11/13/2021: 29-19 loss at Ole Miss

No way they come for A&M/Miss St. They will be in Tallahassee that weekend for Miami/FSU.

I did not think about the Miami at FSU game on 10/4. Yes, it would make much more sense for ESPN GameDay to go to Tallahassee for a matchup of top 10 ACC teams.

I'm with everyone else, hope they never come back. Our record when they come is absolutely abysmal.

ESPN Game day is a distraction. They add nothing of value to the game day experience of Aggie football. We are better off without them, so Let them go to other places that have virtually no game day experience worth mentioning and let them be a needed distraction.
