If it's your first trip to ND, I'd rather walk around the campus than stand in a tailgate. Their campus is slightly more scenic than what we're accustomed to.

It's been a long time for me, but I remember the dorms grilling and selling food outside, plus buffets and visitors centers.

I am sure that a lot of ND fans will offer you plenty of beer and shots. My best experience was at Clemson when the Ags last played there. Their fans rule. I barely made it into the stadium as it seemed every Clemson tailgate tent was shoving food and drinks down my mouth. Great experience. I imagine ND fans are great, too!

Eat lite and stick to a diet when visiting tailgates.
