I'm watching Gameday because it's Lee Corso's last ever.

I have two observations that keep popping in my head every segment.

1. Lee should have hung it up a long time ago. I'm for honoring him and all that, but they really waited too long.

2. College Gameday is unwatchable schlock.

Listening to the panel pontificate about the selection committee doesn't reward wins and if they did we'd get better non-conference games was a bit off putting. I remember "Herbie" and that crew priming the pump for the audience to accept that an undefeated conference champion FSU team wouldn't be in the playoff because a key injury meant they were no longer a top 4 team.

ESPN cynically puts its thumb on the scales because college football is largely their product. And these days they mean to use it to drive their new sports book business.

Oh well. It was a lot of fun some time ago and Corso on his game was fun television. So happy trails Lee Corso! Thanks for the memories. But someone should shut down Gameday 5 minutes after your last "headgear" pick.

Do I agree with everything that is said and represented each week on ESPN Gameday, no. But does it entertain me and get me excited for CFB, absolutely. It's entertainment and don't let it burden your day. Just my take, flame away…

I have watched SEC Nation or whatever it is called since 2012. I am watching Gameday today only because it is Corso's last, and I watched his first back in the 90s.
