How soon do we get word of what the flyover will be?

It will be a helicopter or an airplane, or maybe more than one of each.

It will be a coyote with a big ass Acme rocket strapped to his back.

It will be some slow ass helicopter like it always is. Boring.

Bring on the F-35s.

I heard it will be recently declassified alien aircaft

I might have said give me a "Heritage Flight" (a modern jet fighter alongside a WWII piston-engine fighter, usually 4 aircraft total) but after the B-25 flew over several years ago, that wasn't as awesome as I thought it would be.

Give me F-15s, F-18s, F-22s, F-35s. Or a B-2.

My preference would be that nothing flys over and then everyone thinks it was a B-2.

I know. Is this even a big deal anymore. Used to be a once a year kind of thing. Now every game?

I like seeing the fighter jets buzz the top of the stadium with afterburners on, the rest of it is meh.

While there are some cool helicopters, I will always vote for planes that start with an F or A.

I am an old so I'm probably in the minority. I still wonder why almost everyone, be it at a concert or a sporting event have their phones out recording. I believe you should put your phone away, be present, and experience the moment. Memories are an amazing thing!!!!

Having said that I apologize for sounding harsh. I get it that you want to find out for your son. Its ok to say "I don't know but we'll find out on Saturday." Sometimes the unknown and the suspense/surprise are all part of the experience.

We had already retired them before 1998.

My vote is for B1 bombers. We had a pair flyover for Final Review one year and it was awesome. Made the ground shake.

I think the poster probably just threw out the first jet fighter he could think of. I was also thinking the Phantoms had been retired by then.

There was a game against Iowa State, I believe, where we had a pair of B-1s do the flyby.

B-1B was the very first aircraft design team I worked on. I'm just glad it all held together during the flyover.

The better question is, will we cover the 21 pt spread? No, is my take. But who cares

Exactly.....now pretty much every game across the country has a flyover

We paid for these cool military aircraft, I want to see them in use (preferably in lower and faster flyovers than currently allowed)
