i think anybody that's been paying attention knows that. perhaps the question is will he get more solid reasons for why we'll be 8-5 or more delusion for why we won't be?

If you aren't getting what you want from free, send money to TexAgs. It's that simple.

As a lifelong zoo contributor, I would say that premium is best for 1) helping keep track of the roster in the off-season, 2) doubling (maybe more than doubling) the amount of content on the site for football, and 3) providing a more ... "positive" ... comment board for football. If any of those things is important to you, consider premium. If you don't mind the board being a handful of guys banging each other's pots all off-season, don't bother with it.

Say the right combination of buzzwords and you will zoom up the blue star rankings. Can also do that on the Politics board for mostly free

Where else will you be the FIRST to hear from Liucci about the next unheralded 5th string WR who's "really gonna surprise people this season?"

Just remember what's been said every spring. Remember what's been said every fall.
Then comes the winter and all the info doesn't seem to fit anymore.

The only thing worth the extra funds is Jason.

You'll love premium if you like non-stop sunshine pumpers and those who refuse to tolerate anything else (including staff). That's my opinion after paying for many years.

The longhorn meltdown thread is the only thing worth reading there that you can't read here. I cancelled mine after nearly a decade

It's good for football season if you want to waste extra time every now and then looking at interesting posts/content from around the internet that would pique an Aggie fans interest that a zoo poster would not go to the trouble of finding and posting.

There's also some guy on there that pretends like he's a football guru and posts his analysis of selected plays after each game. That board blindly worships that guy.

Other than that it's about the same as this board, with 1000 more people making the same complaints or making the same unfounded and rushed exhalations of greatness as they do on here.

I used to listen to every show. It really changed after Gabe left.

Haven't listened in almost a year now.

The premium content is what you make of it.

The rare gem where a dude obsessed with making an online persona be accepted and loved asks for prayers for a multiple-time woman beater and to have that woman beater and his new wife who he married right before he goes to jail come on the board and spill his guts is 100% priceless entertainment.

If you want to pay for sunshine pumping and excuses, it's worth it.

I think I'll try Premium again once season starts.

I trust TexAgs to keep the human content coming more than other sites (not AI garbage).

I support the site for building an amazing message board community with 1 star. I've hopped back and forth with a premium sub many times over the years.

I last signed back up during the Jimbo firing and canceled in January. So a full year and change.

Imo it's not worth it. I don't fully blame them. The dynamic has changed. This isn't an 'insider' site or board any more and there are way too many financial relationships in place for anyone at TA to step out or break news that isn't theirs to break etc. So even speculation threads are worthless and just a bunch of words that are forever noncommittal.

The content that has been replaced with actual football insider content and/or team discussion are all the NIL interviews so not only are you asked to pay for the players you also pay for premium to watch (imo) pointless interviews with them. I do recognize some people enjoy them, but I couldn't care less.

The final issue is our country/world/inflation is at a price point now where the vast majority of people can easily afford it so they all bought it to 'escape the zoo' and in turn it made that board the new zoo.

The discussions are all so extreme, infighting, group piling on, tons of negativity and tons of "hwy 6 runs both ways. Donate or don't have an opinion. Nuff said" type drive by posts. It's just a cesspool imo.

Also toss in Twitter for taking a lot of the discussion away from this board and premium and general.

This board isn't good right now by any means. With how few actually post actively on here there are way too many default bleeders. But, given the results on the field it's hard to get too upset with their default position.

Well. I find the point that the content is not AI generated and is rather created by humans to be a compelling selling point myself. I'd say I am with the "no" camp on the question posted. But, the AI content versus human generated content point does resonate with me.

Yes. The NIL bit is not for me either.

And many years ago, I did basically what you describe here. I paid to see if I could get a better signal-to-noise ratio. And I did at first. Then I did it again with the "Varsity" sub. But the same thing happened.

Obviously, others' milage may vary.

Yep, I was a long time Premium Subscriber, but I got tired of this idea that we also needed to donate to NIL or everyone shouts you down. The years of let downs on top of this NIL and free transfers bull**** has led me to become completely apathetic, during the off season. I'm sure i'll start getting my hopes up during the season, but fully expect to be let down.

As for NIL, I wouldn't give any of these mercenaries a dime. When I was in school, I considered the players to be Aggies. Now, I don't consider a player a true Aggie until they actually finish at least 3 years here, and only leave for the NFL.
