Here is a picture of our 2025 National Champion Poultry judging team. Aggie Football related because National Championships are all we seem to talk about.

Is this different from the Meat Judging (trying not to chuckle, lol) National Championship the Ags won last year?

For those who may have forgotten, the A in A&M stands for Agricultural.Aggie Dad 26 said:

I'm not an Aggie and even I know that's no longer true and hasn't been for over 60 years.1990Hullaballoo said:For those who may have forgotten, the A in A&M stands for Agricultural.Aggie Dad 26 said:

The Agricultural college and majors have always been one of if not the best in almost everything they do.
We are perennial national champions in many contests. "It's just Ag" - so it doesn't matter to most around here.
We have always been at the cutting edge of research in Agriculture and have had major historical influences with the discoveries and application of methods and ideas that started right here. Some have helped increase food production to eliminate hunger around the world. Some have helped make the steak you eat tastier and more tender. Some have made your vehicle run more efficiently and cleaner. Many have given the American farmer a technological edge to be able to produce more with less inputs and still meet an ever-growing list of environmental and fiscal regulations that would prohibit most farmers in other countries from being a farmer.
I am proudly an Ag major and when they were available, had a "Texas Aggies Leaders in Agriculture" bumper sticker on my truck.
This is ONE part of this school where we have proven again and again that we are the best. I think it only appropriate the we all congratulate these students - even if it is on the football board. I believe most here have never won a State or National contest. If you haven't - you have no idea what it takes to reach that kind of success - you don't know the hours and life commitment it takes to reach this level. As a "coach" of a State Champion team from a small school that beat many large schools to win, I recognize what it takes to perform at these upper levels.
Congrats to these NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. Maybe our football team could learn something from them.

In 1963, the Texas Legislature changed the school's name from the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas to Texas A&M University. The "A" and "M" became a symbolic link to the school's past but no longer officially stood for "Agricultural and Mechanical."
History | Texas A&M University
"A&M" literally stands for nothing.

It's not a sport. It's sad we're better at **** like this than winning in the athletic department
So there are chicken judge judges?YouBet said:
How do you win a NC in judging chickens?
If the chicken judges are judging the chickens, then who is judging the judges and what are they looking for?
Symbolism isn't reality…1990Hullaballoo said:I'm not an AggieJoes said:I'm not an Aggie and even I know that's no longer true and hasn't been for over 60 years.1990Hullaballoo said:Aggie Dad 26 said:

Guess since you're not an Aggie, the symbolic link is lost to a meager mind.
