Having aggie pumpers chime-in on football is like having your dog try to explain differential equations….
Everyone has proof they aren't smart enough to do it but they are fun to watch.
Kelvin Banks decomiited from Oregon. They "let him walk" and there must have been a reason, but t.u. didn't give a shyt so they bought him. The texags brain trust will say that our offense doesn't need another 5-star offensive tackle like haywood because we certainly didn't need Kelvin Banks, but if we keep listening to that horse hockey - it will be another 80 years before a conference title finds its way to College Station.
So confident in your assessment of Aggie sports. You act as if there is not a GM position at these major college programs in charge of allocating resources. We must have infinite money, let's just throw money at the 5-star, even though it is a position of strength in the class and there are a million factors that zoo-message-board-poster is not privy to.
Kelvin Banks grew up in humble Texas, and TU was throwing absolute bags trying to get an OL ready for SEC football. So yes, maybe Oregon decided Kelvin Banks wasn't worth it to them. And you know what, they won the Big10 this year and their OL was also just fine. The fact that a player is successful elsewhere isn't an indictment that your program missed on him. There are 32 first round draft picks every year and your school can't afford them all.
You haven't watched a second of Ty Haywood tape to know what makes him a 5 star in the first place, you don't know anything about the kid. But please continue to educate all us pumpers on your GM qualifications
