It's a nonsense narrative. Byes were 0-4, but the favorites were 3-1.
I don't have an issue with conference champion autobids, but they should not receive the byes. The byes should go to the top 4 teams period. That puts a rest to this nonsense narrative.

I like the playoffs, but is this an argument to move it to 16 teams? Or Down to 8?

Realize it would probably take the committee years to make a change, so I guess let's just enjoy the games and hope our team is there next year.

It was what the Big Ten, ACC, Pac-12, and Big 12 demanded. The SEC wanted access for four teams…but best eight would have been fine until the polls and committee proved they can't tell what actual game difficulty smells like.

I still prefer that some teams bypass the committee completely. But we got an eyeful of bad decision making fo sho!!!
