55 years for me following the team. Outside of about 10 to 12 good years, there has been an abundant supply of BAS. Its sad to think the folks attending school right now, even at the masters level, were born after our last conference championship.

Nothing will change unless folks vote with their feet and their wallets. 30k-40k empty seats on a consistent basis will get noticed and result in meaningful change. Until then there is zero incentive to do otherwise. Changing coaches, players, conferences, practice facilities, stadiums, etc.... are bright, shiny objects that distract from the main source of the problem. The TMF, the program, coaches, and players need to earn our support. Its been taken for granted for far too long. Find something else to do and check the score the next morning.

I'm optimistic every year. It also doesn't impact my life if we go 8-4 and have a disappointing season. For me, it's back to try to have fun with it and enjoy what I can. Life is too short to get all butthurt about football.

Schedule won't be a lot harder. Offense will most likely take a big step with more weapons and a very expereinced OL.

CB and NB should be better but safety is a questionnmark with Anderson poor play. Plus we still need a solid DT from the portal.

There are reasons to be optimistic but there are also reason to be concerned.

Sharp probably thinks Elko exceeded expectations and is working up a extension offer.

We will see lots of pumping the team up here. Same ol media too. We will hear how our team is better and more experienced. There will be a huge emphasis on how Marcel Reed has improved so much

Basketball is already going and doing quite well. Next game is tu for the start of conference. The SEC is looking the strongest that it ever has which is pretty cool but will be tough

We already are like Rice.

We're becoming the Kentucky of the SEC. Basketball is on the rise and football sometimes has a watchable season. Like many after 40 years of a die hard fan I'm done till the program actually spends some money on a good coach like all the other big programs they want to be like. Let's all stop with "next year is gonna be great" BS. I can't remember the last time we weren't in a "rebuilding year."

Here's a newsflash. We haven't been good since Jackie.

I'm excited for QB competition.

You'll get over it by august. How do I know? 63 years & counting.

Even during the early season winning streak, you could see flaws; poor tackling and giving up chunk plays, for instance. What I don't understand is the disappearance of quarterback sacks and tackles for loss after the LSU game.

I hate to say it but lack of holding calls against us could be a reason for that.

Honestly man, you know what I'm excited about? I'm excited for one more fall in the sunshine, watching games with friends and family, that first cold front, and good bbq.

Get some perspective. It's just kids playing a game.

Pray for 4 losses to start the season because you know 8 straight W's are coming afterward. Woo!
