Been watching a couple of bowl games and seen some highlights - excluding Clemson, I've seen some very successful and creative play designs executed by some schools to get a 3rd/4th & short or for a score at the goal line that were not RB dive plays into the meat of a defensive line.

I wonder if our OC is watching any bowl games and taking any notes.

The play call in OT vs Auburn was creative if our rb just catches the danged ball.

4th down calls vs tu… not so much

Our oc has plays like that in his playbook... His offenses executed them well at kstate

Our head coach apparently likes to override our oc to force play calls the team can't execute

Do you have inside knowledge on that or is it speculation ? I'm not trying to be a smart ass , it's a serious question . Elko doesn't strike me as a micromanager especially on offense

Yeah, I don't see that happening. Elko hasn't shown himself to be a micro-manager and he is a defensive coach by experience, so doubt he is forcing specific offensive play calls.

Looks like CK wasn't watching and taking notes on short yardage plays in other bowl games. Seems like he's married to predictability.
