What are your thoughts on this kid? I think he would be a must get for the receiver room and an immediate starter. He is a little more proven than Micah and can be in the return game if necessary (Was a preseason All-American returner). Can't hurt to add more weapons if we have the bank for it.

In fairness, you are allowed to contact agents, even players HS coaches for feedback, etc., to start laying groundwork. If the agent reports back what is being offered to the player, that's still legal. Probably what happens a lot of the time rather than just the player straight up talking with the prospective new coaching staff.
So you can contact the agent and certain contacts within the players inner circle. You just can't talk directly to the player.
