MIAMI is the team with a real beef

I really like South Carolina, but you're going to lose just about every argument when you claim they should be over two teams that they lost to. In no way are they getting screwed. Where they got screwed was that LSU game?
I think SMU is getting in unless they get blown out by Clinton
This. If the SEC officials were even remotely competent, SCar being in wouldn't even be a discussionQuote:
And they were screwed by officials in their game against LSU. Truly affected the result.

Yeah, this is probably right. It's just hard to overlook how well they have been playing. It's why the chase for a National Champion seems hollow. Some teams that went through a rough patch but are playing at an elite level towards the end of the season will get excluded. But, if there is an argument that your team is not in the top 12 in the country, it's hard to have too much of a beef.
I mean if they can't beat Clemson, do they need to be in the playoff?Quote:
SMU is going to be screwed also if they don't beat Clemson.

And FYI, Sankey decides this one. Not the silly committee.

True. This is a lot better than having a discussion about the top 4fc2112 said:
Thread is proof there is no number of playoff teams that will avoid some people think someone got screwed.

How they are playing right now shouldnt matter at all. The whole season matterswaynehisler said:
Seems like 12 teams should be enough, but still not right. SC is playing as well as anybody right now. There isn't any other team in the proposed group of 12 that would want to face them.
It will never be enough. You will always have teams crying that they had a better case than others.waynehisler said:

In what world should SC be above Bama? Sure they are playing well right now, but they got beat by LSU, Bama, and Ole Miss. Ole Miss beat UGA, but their losses are real bad-Kentucky, Florida, and a very average LSU.

That said committee, as per norm, is all over board. At first a loss in championship won't hurt you, then the other night they suggest maybe it could…so who really knows what they will do.

What happens if Boise loses?
I am guessing the committee will put SMU in regardless, that is one of their Cinderella stories.
