Wow….it's being reported that Bryce Underwood expects to make $15M by the time he leaves Michigan. Larry Ellison is even pitching in (to make his Michigan grad, secret wife happy LOL). Tom Brady calls him daily. Michigan donated a coach to his high school. The story is wild and takes recruiting to a new level.

It's always been there. It's just not against the rules anymore.

I remember when the entire nation wanted to burn JFF at the stake for making money for signing autographs.

Nothing like this has ever existed. To say otherwise is foolish and disrespectful to everyone who has played the game the right way.

I feel like Salary (NIL) caps are coming not if but when!

But then again, schools like smu can now compete.

He was definitely the most vocal champion about it.

Unfortunately the corrupt NCAA idiots didn't actually think of any guardrails around NIL.

I get that but don't think we have the juice to keep up with schools like tu, Michigan, Bama, Oregon, etc.

Well then we better get the juice fast. Charge a $20 talent fee per ticket. Thats $12M a year. Pay 6 elite d linemen and o linemen $1M each to come here.

indeed. The greedy network overlords didn't quite hold sway over college football at that time.

Today college football is run by espn and fox, not conferences, not the ncaa, not universities or not whatever else used to substitute for impartiality.

So drink and eat the sugar, take your vaxxes and put all your money into financial service Ponzi schemes like a good little lemming.

So is it his name, or image, or likeness that is worth $15 million? Or a combination? How many more people will sit in the stands if he goes there vs goes somewhere else? Chicken wrap sales increase?

A&M needs to start treating this as a professional sport and businesses, because that's exactly what it is. We're rich aren't we? Start paying for championships.

Winning the natty is worth a whole lot to a school so... maybe it's worth that or more...

Nope probably wouldn't be, but then again the whole conversation on "we gotta have parity" is now a delusion. The separation between the Campbell's and Jones keeps getting bigger.

Buzbee better hope he gets diddys fortune 40% fee so he can help pay some NILs

Bowl games will be absolutely dead this year. College football is going to die. If you aren't a fan of a blue blood then you won't care anymore.

Not that it's much but I'd rather see better coaching / playcalling before giving more money on top of my season tickets.

Exactly. The entire notion that this is in any way about the value of a high school kid's Name, Image and Like would be hilarious if it wasn't so pathetic.

If anything a team can show value by investing in them (we call that "sponsorships" already) but that's it.

Me too. With 12 teams in the playoffs, everyone else is vying to be #13. That's both hands in the hair, one shoe off with three toes showing, while shouting "we're #13" over and over.

LoL, ok. We do, it's just how serious are the BMAs in making it happen. They open up when it comes to putting a name on a building. Stadium upgrades paid for in cash. But to build the machine to make those buildings truly mean something they lack. NIL is a every year thing good or bad, they only focus on the front part of that and this is why we lack talent.

NIL is a scam and businesses like Texags are profiting from it!

We are way ahead of Bama and Georgia in NIL money. Beck is the first player they gave a big sum of money to and look how it turned out. There was a Smart and Saban discount now the saban discount is gone thats why they hired Deboer/Morgan with a system and its not to pay the most. Bama not paying close to what the other schools are. That's why you see the Lank or ryan williams podcast that's the only way they can make significant money. That's actually what it was suppose to be for name imagine and likeness.

Jimbo just paid without any thought of anything else the game Saturday was loss two years ago on the recruiting trail.
