Texas averages 30.14 points per SEC game, 32.5 points per SEC home game but just 23.5 points per SEC road game. They scored 34 against Oklahoma in a neutral site game at the Cotton Bowl. Texas has played only 2 true road SEC games so far and scored just 20 points in their last road game at Arkansas. In fact, Arkansas held Texas to their second-lowest scoring output behind only Georgia, who held Texas to 15 points at home.

Based on these stats, I think 27 points is the most we can give up and still win by scoring a touchdown every quarter. Our offense needs to find its rhythm early and be more consistent throughout the game against Texas. Starting slow is a recipe for disaster, especially against Texas. After trailing LSU 17-7 at halftime, we outscored LSU 31-6 in the 2nd half to crush LSU 38-23, but we can't trail by 10+ points at halftime and expect to beat Texas. We need to play well on both sides of the ball from start to finish.
