Hey Aggie Fans!

Hey Aggie Fans!

Alright y'all, Thanksgiving is right around the corner so let's get down to it. Who is gearing up for Saturday's epic Lone Star Showdown?

This one of the oldest and most exciting rivalries in college football history, dating back to 1894. With over 118 meetings, UT leads the series 76375. After pausing the rivalry in 2011 when the Aggies joined the SEC, the highly anticipated renewal is now back after UT made the switch over to the SEC! Just like all of you… we are pumped to see the revival of the most cherished Texas college football rivalry!

We've been on the platform several times and have enjoyed talking football, sharing memories and hearing what you have to say. So, before we keep talking the Lone Star Showdown, here is what we are about:
Our company, Snaps Clothing , was founded in 2021 in Dallas, TX by us, Ed Baronne and Patrick Lynn. As good friends and business partners who wanted to move away from corporate life and tackle a new challenge, we identified a niche in the menswear market that wasn't being met.

As people transitioned into a less formal lifestyle post Covid, we believed that guys would enjoy wearing shirts that resonated more with their roots while having all the modern advantages of stretch, lightweight, masculine colors, and iconic style allowing them to seamlessly transition between settings. With this thought, the idea of modernizing the pearl snap shirt came into focus and Snaps was born.

Some of our favorite afternoons have been spent enjoying college football the tailgates, the rivalries, the food (and drinks), the beautiful Texas fall weather, and of course... the thunder of a roaring crowd in an SEC stadium. There is nothing better and more incredible than Saturdays in the SEC!

What's your favorite Aggie tradition when UT comes to town? What was your favorite A&M vs UT game? Person with the coolest tradition or craziest story gets a free A&M Snaps Tailgater shirt! Tell us your stories!

Let's talk football!

I second this, but I am gonna go with the '87 game because we won that matchup and then won the next game we played (CB victory over ND). That's the last time we've been able to win the game following a victory over cow.

Freshman year, 1985. Winner takes the SWC Title and goes on to play Bo Jackson and Auburn in the Cotton Bowl. 12th Man was so loud the sip qb couldn't get a play off and kept crying to the refs who finally made him run the play. As soon as they snapped the ball, the Wrecking Crew sacked him and the cotton balls started flying.

We have only played Tennessee a few times so probably that one we won in OT

For me it would be the 1975 game at Kyle Field.
A&M won 20 to 10.
First time we beat the sips in many years.
Unfortunately, the next week we went to play Arkansas there and due to the emotions of beating Texas the week before we were very flat and lost badly.
Had we beaten Arkansas there's a real possibility we would've been playing for the national championship.
What a game changer that could've been for the future of A&M football.
I feel like in some ways were in that same similar situation this year against tu.
Will A&M be flat after an inexcusable untenable performance against Auburn or will we be ready to play this weekend.

1967 - Edd Hargett to Bob Long for 80 yard TD pass & run! Ag's won 10-7 to win SWC Championship and then beat Bama in the '68 Cotton Bowl!

1999 Bonfire Game was incredible. Everything. And the night before. No one can describe that game and surroundings adequately. It was just special.

although the Bonfire game was so special on another level, that '85 game will forever be my favorite game for noise, excitement and meaning. The first SWC trophy of 3 in a row, cotton blown out of the cannon, and the lead-up to beating Bo in the Cotton Bowl. Even though we'd out-scored them in Austin the year prior, that '85 game signaled that we'd arrived.

Either 2006 in Austin or 2007 at Kyle.

I will say 2005 and 2009 were fun because we gave them quite the scare on their way to the MNC game in both. I believe the 2005 game was McGee's first career start and wasn't even wearing #7 that season.

1987. Crowd of 78.573 (pre-renovation record). Took tu about five attempts to get their first play off because of crowd noise (back then, the refs would stop play until the QB could hear). I was sitting on the last row of the 3rd deck, and there were two rows of students standing behind us.

Same for me, the first time since 1956. I was at both 67 and Cotton Bowl game. '70.

Yep, and after the game they closed University at Northgate for a massive party in front of the Chicken.

1985… Aggies beat my childhood friend James Lott, and we enjoyed every minute, but had a good time with him afterwards. That's what rivalries are all about.

BTHO tu forevermore!!!

Our 37-12 drubbing of tu in Austin in 1984 was the 1st of 6 straight and 10 or 11 victories.
A classmate and I stayed with their tsip cousins and returning to the house after the game, we found our luggage out on the front door steps.

The year before I got to A&M!
I'll go with 1985 42-10 since my fish tickets put me front¢er at the goal line stand early in the game that sucked the life out of that orange team.
