Sark's biggest weakness is his loyalty to a QB trying to get a high draft grade. Ewers is either injured or headscrewed or both- doesn't matter- but the longer he is playing this middling level of football, the longer opposing teams are in the games.
Like it or not, Manning would be an immediate upgrade for them, even in front of 110k screaming Ags. Plus the storyline would be insufferable and nauseating in the event he torches Elko's D with a strong deep ball to elite WRs and the ability to pick up a first with his legs.

IMO, Ewers gives the Ags a chance.

Manning is not garbage. Very good qb. I think he would have problems tho being his first time facing an atmosphere like ours.

Arch might get the start depending on Ewers' injury status and where Texas stands in the playoff lottery. But as much as that kid has to offer, and as much as he's been raised for opportunities like this, he ain't ready for 105,000 screaming Ags that hate him.

But with his talent and youthful ignorance, he could also put up a video game performance since he doesn't have anything to lose. If he wins, he's the hero. If he loses, he was just the deer-in-the-headlights backup that got thrown to the wolves.

Said the same in another thread. He is starting. We win this game due to a suffocating pass rush.

Our DBs aren't very good nor experienced. tu WR corps will be the best group seen all year. Doesn't matter who plays QB for tu, they will have success. Manning bring a running dimension that Ewers doesn't have. If our DL can't get pressure with a 4 man run nor 'contain', it will be a long infuriating game.

Adv sippers as our Def has been lackluster all year long.

I do like the WR corps, but Georgia made it irrelevant. Ewers will see ghosts.

If that is the case, don't you think it pile have happened after the SCAR game?

At this point, they are what they are. And that is an average football team that plays better or worse than their potential in some games. Let's hope for a "better" performance against Texas.

The only thing that scares me about manning is that he can run and we cannot tackle.

From what I have seem of them, ewers is more accurate right now and better at going through progressions. But ewers can't run as well and tends to the hold the ball and fall when pressure comes

What's infuriating is that OP (total 'sip) is allowed to stay on here playing "frustrated Aggie" who continually compliments/hypes the 'horns.

If Ewers starts, and I think he will, we need to sell the farm to get pressure on him. I don't think I've ever seen a QB fold under pressure like that dude.
