Does anyone know this season's record for home teams that play in these night SEC games? It appears this season has been brutal for the away teams in the 630 pm time slot.

Well, we both have another one next week, so we can't blame it on that.

So what is our excuse going to be when the sips beat us at home at night?

Night games only matter outside of the state of texas.

Sometimes I wonder how fans come up with the most asinine excuse for not winning or why football life is so unfair. There is no conspiracy theory and no one is out to get us. We just tend to do what we tend to do. We are a middle of the road program and play like one.

is the 2019 game at Ole Miss still the Ags' last road conference night game win?

Statistically, it's good for the underdogs, which nobody here was ready to admit we would be when this article came out a few weeks ago.

Texas A&M: 0-2 on the road, 1-0 at home. Hopefully we stay perfect in home SEC night games this year.

Kentucky has 3 of those 8 home losses at night. So the real takeaway is: play Kentucky at Kroger field at night and you have a good chance to win. Take them out and it's brutal for the visiting team.

We had zero in 2023.

Remember how that worked out?

(Also only one night stinker at home. Because that's what you get when you're the kind of team that gets day away games…day home games)

think about Jimbo's big wins / upset wins at Kyle Field

2022 vs. LSU -- night game
2021 vs. Alabama -- night game
2018 vs. Kentucky -- night game
2018 vs. LSU -- night game

his only big daytime win was 2020 vs. Florida

And you were reminded that we are coming off a season with non ROAD conference night games. And didn't do **** with it.

And that the type of team that plays during the day on the road is the type that gets slotted into them at home.

See- Texas. One night road game, and only one nigh home game.

A night home game could heavily play in our favor because Texas will be playing an SEC road game at night for the first time. The night crowd noise helped us dominate LSU 31-6 in the second half on 10/26 and helped South Carolina dominate us 24-0 in the second half one week later on 11/2. Hopefully, the night crowd noise will help us to beat Texas.

Help me out here to see what I am missing. I count 7 wins for the visiting team versus your count of 8. Am I counting something wrong or is one of your scores wrong?

That means out of the 7 wins by a road team that 3 were at Kentucky and a 4th was Georgia at tu. The other 3 home losers are Oklahoma, LSU and Arkansas. In the last 5 night games the home team is 5-0. In the month of November the home team is 9-1. Brutal for the road teams.

The A&M/Auburn game was by far the closest of the last 10 night games with only the Georgia/Kentucky game being closer this entire season. Over the last ten night SEC games A&M and Alabama have played the most road games at 2 each. 3 teams have yet to play a night road game in the SEC: tu, Arkansas and South Carolina.

3 of the 7 losses for the home team are Kentucky.

Others

Texas losing to Georgia. Not a good look for Texas in their only big night game this year.

LSU destroyed by Bama. The first night home game Kelly has lost at LSU.

Hogs were killed by LSU.

OU beating Bama last Saturday is just a prime example of how much it helps. OU QB played totally different than he had all year.

LOL at the poster thinking it does not make a difference. Maybe the worst fail on this board this week.

(non-COVID year)
Our last SEC night road win was a: 48-3 win at South Carolina on 11/7/2020, and last SEC night road win in a non-Covid year was a 24-17 road win on 10/19/2019. Since our last SEC night road win, we have lost 7 consecutive SEC night road games, and 5 of those 7 losses were by 6 points or fewer.

2024 SEC night road games (0-2)
11/2: 44-20 loss at South Carolina
11/23: 43-41 (4-OT) loss at Auburn

2023 SEC night road games: (0-0)
Kickoff times for road games at Tennessee, Ole Miss, and LSU were either at 11:00 AM or 2:30 PM

2022 SEC night road games (0-3)
10/8: 24-20 loss at Alabama
10/22: 30-24 loss at South Carolina
11/13: 13-10 loss at Auburn

2021 SEC night road games 0-2
11/13: 29-19 loss at Ole Miss
11/27: 27-24 loss at LSU

2020 SEC night road games 1-0
11/7: 48-3 win at South Carolina

2019 SEC night road games 1-1
10/19: 24-17 win at Ole Miss
11/30: 50-7 loss at LSU

One Minor correction: the home team in SEC night games went 8-1 in the month of November and 4-0 in the last two weeks.

11/2
Texas A&M 20 @ South Carolina 44
Kentucky 18 @ Tennessee 28

11/9
Oklahoma 23 @ Missouri 30
Alabama 42 @ LSU 13
Mississippi State 14 @ Tennessee 33

11/16
Tennessee 17 @ Georgia 31

1123
Texas A&M 41 @ Auburn 43 (4OT)
Vanderbilt 17 @ LSU 24
Alabama 3 @ Oklahoma 24

Arkansas and South Carolina will not play an SEC night road game. The kickoff times for the Arkansas at Missouri game is 2:30 PM on Saturday, and South Carolina has already completed SEC play because they will play Clemson in their regular season finale as usual. Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Vanderbilt will not play an SEC night home game. The kickoff time for the Mississippi State vs Ole Miss game is at 2:30 PM on Black Friday, and the kickoff time for the Tennessee at Vanderbilt game is at 11:00 AM Saturday. That means 2 SEC teams dodged an SEC night road game, and 3 SEC teams did not get an opportunity to play an SEC night home game.
