I think we are still in a really good spot overall. I expect us to be ranked in the 10-15 range tomorrow and let's be honest, we don't have another real game for three weeks. We have a lot of time to work on things and get healthy while a lot of teams in front of us will start dropping out. By the time we get to play Auburn on November 23rd we should be top ten. Beat a bad Auburn team and set the stage for the most epic thanksgiving weekend matchup in a long time for us.

You expect us to jump 5 spots into the Top 10 by hopefully beating Bye and NM State?

I expect a lot of teams in front of us to lose and yes, for us to move up a couple of spots each week

LSU and Alabama were on a bye this past week and they both jumped us after we lost, and now they play each other so obviously we will jump one of them after this week. See my point?

I agree we are sitting pretty, but could care less about rankings right now. It's November and we control our own destiny. Go 3-0 the rest of the way and the rest falls in place.

Yes, because the AP Poll is dumb that way. We frontloaded our schedule, so we have played a lot harder schedule than many of the "top" teams. As they work through the meat of their schedule, several will run into issues as well. Once everybody has played 6 conference games like we have, we will probably be ranked higher than we currently are.

I wouldn't call our injury situation sitting pretty.

I think tu is vastly overrated, but all our season coming down to that game and now without Moss isn't confidence building based on USCe results.

tu's offensive skill players are faster and shiftier than USCe. And as much as I hate Sark, his offensive schemes are light years ahead of USCe.

We got a lot of help from Clemson, Iowa State, and Kansas State losing last weekend. Assuming we finish 3-0 and 10-2 on the season, we should be a top 10 team in the conference championship. Unfortunately it won't matter as we've lost our "loss buffer". I suspect even a CCG loss would keep us out.

Nothing happens in a vacuum.

i think this is wishful thinking, but if we beat sip and finish 10-2, and UGA wins out finishing as either the #1 team or at worst #2. If we lost to UGA in a close battle (say 28-24 type game), I think we still have a pretty decent shot of making the playoffs (probabilities still give about a 65% chance). It would be hard to leave out the # 2 SEC team who just narrowly lost to the # 1 overall seed and only has a third loss because they earned the conference championship game in the toughest conference.

No. 11 Bama plays No. 14 LSU this week - so that is one team ahead of us guaranteed to lose
No. 9 BYU is only -4 against Utah - so that is a team ahead of us that could lose

No. 2 Georgia plays No. 7 Tennessee next week - guaranteed loss for a team ranked ahead of us

No. 3 Ohio St. plays No. 8 Indiana in three weeks - guaranteed loss for a team ranked ahead of us

I also would not be surprised at all if teams ahead of us like Miami, Penn St., Indiana, BYU, Boise St., or SMU dropped a random game they have no business losing.

It's it the loss that hurt us as much as the manner in which we lost.

It would all depend on how the committee treats ccg losers in this 12 team format and then who around us we'd be competing for a spot with
