Pretty well matches what I remember when Elko was the DC. Gives up most of their points allowed early in games .
Hopefully at SC it'll be a big fat Zero.

That is largely due to our constant substitution of the front 4. They remain fresh to the end of the game. Depth! Never seen the Ags do that before.
That's some lockdown defense right there. Kudos to Elko and the boys. Holding teams to minimal points in the second half and overall shows just how well our defense is adjusting. I'm excited about this turnaround honestly, we're going to be tough to beat down the stretch.
Our Offense is basically opposite of that. good and bad halfs.
Can't say enough about halftime adjustments
I'm wondering if teams will eventually start using more tempo against us to limit that?
And MS State only scored 7 because Conner threw a pick at our own 10 yard line. Took them 3 plays to get in. Biggest sign, among many that Elko is the real deal is halftime adjustments. We simply did not have this with Jimbo.

Jimbo didn't make any adjustments at any time since he got his fat contract extension…. Dude was as stubborn as they come. It was always the kids fault that they didn't execute. If you're that confident you have no part in the failure, why make a change… keep going until the kids learn to execute dammit
