So after watching no game film on this opponent, other than the normal game watching throughout the weeks, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that we:

1/ Run the ball all day long on LSU, and twice as hard at night...
2/ Force their QB to rush throws and get 2 INT's that force panic...
3/ Shutdown their running game and force them to throw underneath...
4/ Wear down that huge LSU OL and have them on ventilators under the 12th man roar by the 4th...

It's supposed to be close, but in the end, we flex and win by 17+points, off huge turnovers, and the 12th man causes delay, after delay, after delay!

Those 2nd and 15's are too much to overcome...

LSU will be the best OL we've seen all season (esp at Tackles who are experienced and NFL caliber). They are battle tested as they've faced top DL multiple times already (USC has top talent, USCe prob really the best DL in the conference, Ol Miss DL, etc.). ND wasn't as starting inexperienced freshmen and we didn't get too much disruption (albeit, different type of QB).

Our OL has been very good, but LSU DL will be the best they've seen thus far. LSU's DEs are very good and will test our Tackles (esp. right Tackle).

If we win LOS and can run the ball better, we have a chance. Think LSU will try to take away the run (stack the box, run blitzes), play man coverage (cover our WRs) and mix up coverages (CW issues of not progressing on reads).

lsu is 103rd in passing yds allowed. So if they're trying to press receivers, they're not doing it very well.

I'm hoping for a 2022 type ballgame from the O. Our D is better than theirs.

LSU's oline will allow them to exploit our secondary.

Our offense will run the ball down their throats and open up passing lanes for connor

It's going to be a shootout.

They are bottom 20% in running the ball. We are top 20% in rush defense.
They are top 10% in passing offense. We are middle of the pack in passing defense.

They don't give up sacks, but they also can't run the ball.
We are also top 20% in fewest sacks.

It's not their game. I see them playing bend / don't break defense and relying on their offense.

I suspect Klein will play the TOP game and try to keep their offense off the field as much as he can. If we can establish the run and hit a few explosives then I like our chances. Stagnant offense will kill any chance we have.

Their defense has been average (#67) outside of Ole Miss.
Our defense has been good (#31).

Their offense is good (#25)
Our offense has been average (#57)

I think this is basically a pick'em just like Vegas shows. And none of us will know until it plays out. It's 2 very even teams that are about as polar opposite both offensively and defensively as it gets. It's a really interesting case study / analysis.

We could bring pressure all night or rely on our DL to contain the run and play pass prevent for success. It's going to come down to coaching on this one.

DO NOT KYLE ALLEN THIS GAME, please.

Huge LSU fan here. This is the most accurate assessment I've seen on this board. We're going to try and wreak havoc in the backfield to make up for the deficiencies of our defensive backs.

Admittedly, I have not watched much Aggie football this year. But expecting a great game.

I see again we have a new narrative to critique Weigman. Always amazed how guys sit in the stands, or watch on tv, that probably never played QB, if they played football at all, come up with so much nonsense. Weigman had some bad throws against MSU, end of story. MSU may have fooled him with a pre-snap look at times but that's football…unlike the video games, the other team prepares and executes. He needs to grow from it and I'm sure he will.

I would love a double-digit win over LSU, but I am predicting a close 31-24 win over LSU.

Unless I'm looking at it wrong, the ESiPN.com standings show we are number 1 in the SEC........ we don't have to "take it over" !

Weigman was like always against MSU, a mediocre roller coaster, 50/50 player at best with no fire. Time for a change to Reed. Reed is no less accurate than Weigman (not a high bar !) but at least he has some fire, and adds a spark to the team.

LSU will likely beat us by a large margin, if we play Weigman. Playing Reed instead won't hurt our chances, and will likely improve them...... especially if LSU preps assuming Weigman gets the nod, but Reed gets the nod instead.
