To give up 10 points essentially considering the fake punt, this was a heckuva day by the defense.

A few weeks ago I thought the LBs were gonna be a real weak spot, but today I'm encouraged by the improved play of the LBs. I saw de shields, Sanford and scooby all making good plays.

Interestingly, I didn't see our supposed best linebacker York making plays today. I hope he's not just too physically limited.

I also liked how we rotated the LBs often.

Scourton and Stewart looked like the kind of difference makers the very best teams have.

Regis has been damn good all year and I don't think he came out much.

Didn't notice turner today but we know how good he is.

Defensive line is elite.

Will Lee and dalton brooks were damn good today. We know Bryce Anderson can play.

I am encouraged that our coaches seemed to figure out that dezz ricks is better than jayvon Thomas.

Nickel with Jaydon hill looks to be the clear biggest weakness. He struggled today, and today wasn't the only day he's struggled this year. Chappell injury really hurting us.

Can transfer jones play nickel? He has looked good at safety imo. Any other nickel options?

Where is transfer bj Mayes? I figured he would contribute somewhere.

Agreed, they really need to tighten that containment on the edges. I believe they will keep getting better. It's ok to celebrate big stops/turnovers but not like you just won a championship.

Other than the first quarter they were great.

Scrouton and S Stewart are NFL caliber.

Other than York being a good guy and high football IQ, he shouldn't be on the field (Scooby, Shields s/b starters).

DBs are a mess in some areas. Trey Jones had lots of bad play early in the game on angles and keeping the edge. Anderson isn't the same and had errors and pulled for a bit early (wondering if he's 100% healthy or playing nicked up). While Ricks has Int, he was beat several times (only W Lee has been relatively consistent at CB).

Jayden Hill should never see the field, dude is awful. We need the UAB transfer for get up to speed after his concussion protocol in fall ball….

Holding a good Arkie O to 3 points over the last three quarters is improvement.

Our issue, is now squarely on the offense. It's abysmal. Hopefully, we can find a spark with CW
returning.

D line was incredible

Brooks looked really good today, hopefully he stays free of the targeting penalties as he has a head hunter mentality. Ricks is definitely our best option at cb2. York seems and looks slow, I'd think about different options to relieve him. It was nice to see Bateman going after the Qb today, a lot of pressure. The D is starting to look like what we were expecting with that nasty front!
