This happened to me in the 6 years that I have been at my current job...I was near the youngest on the staff, and now I am near the oldest. What in the world!?Ghost91 said:
I went from always being the youngest guy in the room to being the oldest guy in the room.
Like there was no middle part. It's weird.
I love Mike, and he'll be a HOFer eventually, but the voters won't give him that kind of love. He's had one of the most underrated awesome careers I can think of. His 1,000 yard streak is amazing. None of the greats have done it. But he's also never put up huge numbers like other great WRs.Aggie Dad 26 said:WC94 said:

Dude is a 1st ballot HOFer.
I hope he gets 1,000 yards this season to keep his NFL record going

Amazing to think he didn't play football until his senior year at Ball.
And that the future Heisman winner and future HoF wide receiver were both red shirted by Sherman.

For comparison, here are the 1st ballot WRs going back to 1980:
2021 - Calvin Johnson - beast, crazy numbers
2018 - Randy Moss - beast, 156 TDs
2010 - Jerry Rice - GOAT
1995 - Steve Largent - all time yardage leader at one point
1983 - Paul Warfield - before my time
I don't think voters see Evans in the same tier as these guys. I mean, Terrell Owens had to wait 3 extra years which is crazy. And a few guys still waiting will likely get in ahead of him: Reggie Wayne, Henry Ellard, Torry Holt. Larry Fitzgerald and Julio Jones will also be eligible before Evans.
BUT, he is almost top 10 in career TDs. He won't get close to the top 3 (Terrell Owens w/153) but he might catch Fitzgerald at #6 (121 TDs) if he stays healthy and plays long enough.

Eh- you may be right, but TO only had to wait because people didn't like him

Evans will be even more well known when he decides to shop his skills and every team is clamoring to get him.

Johnny Manziel will be 32 in a few months.
I wonder if he has any of his NFL money left.
