I have family coming from out of state for my wife's baby shower, and I was able to score 16 tickets to the Southwest Classic while they're here! This is their first exposure to anything Aggie, so I'd like to do it right.

Any ideas? I saw some stuff on the All Aggie Tailgate by the Association and the Away Game Hullabaloo by the 12th Man for previous years but not this one- anyone know if they are still doing them? I'm also open to stuff around AT&T if you know of something good other than Texas Live.

Pregame at Texas Live is fine. The sponsored tailgate kind of sucks though. Last year it took 30 minutes to get a beer and they ran out of food. Just do something on your own. During the game avoid Texas Live like the plague. We decided to skip the game one year and just watch at Texas Live. It's full of obnoxious drunk Razorback students. I'm glad this is the last year at Jerry World. While it's a great venue, It's not really the kind of place you want to be to get the Aggie experience.

I live in Arlington and will admit there's not all that much to do here other than go to the best football or baseball stadium on the planet.

The National Medal of Honor Museum is going to be awesome when it opens next year.

I think the Corps marches in downtown Fort Worth on Saturday morning. At least they were last year when I was running the Rahr Octoberfest 5k and broke up the parade.

You really should tailgate and drink some beer. Bet you paid a fortune for those tickets.

The best thing about Arlington truly is the bbq scene. Goldee's, Hurtado, Smoke and Ash, 225 Degree, Jambo's, David's.....

It's the best concentration of Q outside the Hill Country.

Which one of those isn't so crazy busy? Goldee's during that weekend sounds insane. OP would have to waste several hours waiting in line there, right?
