I think "lite" means less Mormon than BYU but still a little Mormon. Not referring to skill.

That's the way I understood it too. Google tells me a little over 1/3 of the Utes are Mormon while less than 2% (chuckle) of BYU students aren't.

Baylor isn't terrible.

When I was in school, Ags taunted Okie state by calling them "Okie lite" for being a "little OU." Never got that, because they always seemed to whip our ass.

Nothing "Lite" with Utah related to BYU… except mormonism lol. Utah's one of those teams where the identity of the football team could not be more opposite of the school they represent.

Utah football = Hard nosed, tough, team-oriented, blue collar identity

Baylor offense and defense got some energy in the 3rd quarter but Utah did one of those patented long drives to keep it out of reach. Cam Rising out with hand injury. Should almost qualify for Medicare by now.
