Didn't see him on the field Saturday.

I remember him being in one series in the 2nd half. Might have missed him at other points but complete non-factor. I'm not sure if CW even looked at him.

It's apparent it wasn't just jimbo, moose doesn't want to do what is necessary to get playing time. Take that however you will

Does it matter when you can't complete a pass anyways.

My guess is he would have been like the other receivers, unable to get open. If he can't get Pt over our other WRers based on what he does in practice, I don't see how he helps. That said, he has shown he might play better than he practices so perhaps worth a shot; but that is coach decision.
Nothing looks more foolish than tradition to those who have none.

He should transfer somewhere where they don't practice.

Moose not getting on the field last Saturday is super disappointing ... I am not sure what's his deal

tbis one is a head scratcher.

some guys are gamers. it is clear moose falls into this category. it is absurd at this point for him not to at least be in the rotation. i mean if he isn't practice ing that's one thing but assuming he is showing up you have to get this kid who has shown flashes of dominance on the field. we clearly don't have anyone else who threatens th secondary but i have seen moose do it during sec games.

Some coaches have this weird rule where if you don't work hard off the field, you sit on the bench.

We've seen a few flashes from Moose, but he's gone completely quiet for long stretches like everyone else. Additionally, most of his "dominance" have been circus catches vs good, clean routes with nice catches that move the chains. It reminds me of Kendrick Rogers years ago - tons of circus catches, but never a reliable down in, down out guy. If a guy has effort problems or other issues off the field, you can't rely on him simply because once every few games he'll reach out with one hand and make a top 10 catch.

I have not had a chance to go back and watch the no-huddle, but a buddy that was watching the game said he ran two routes where he bumped into other receivers...

If two different coaching staffs determine he's not a starter, or skilled enough to have a presence in the rotation, then I'm going to side with this being something more than a skill issue.

Also, him subtweeting after the game is not good locker room culture at all, especially this early in the season when there is still plenty of time to get reps in.

I remember making a comment about not seeing him on the field. Literally as those words came out my mouth I see him in formation in the slot. Sleeves and all.

He has been an enigma since his arrival. Two coaching staffs are not likely to both be wrong about playing him.

He's not exactly the best route runner and doesn't get much separation. So he probably rarely stands out in practice. But he will catch it anywhere. QB has to trust him though, not wait for him to be facing the QB wide open.

There is something wrong with Moose that does not meet the eye. He is either slow, bad in practice or is a bad influence on other players. Both Jimbo and Elko apparently agree. Stop all the Moose posts

It's confusing. A poster said he played in six series. Others said he didn't play all. And I didn't see him on the roster.

I've been saying all along he is slow not explosive and some dudes think because he hurdles a guy he can leap. Sort of. With long legs and in full speed stride. But facts are his vertical and 40 were shortcomings out of high school and I don't think you suddenly get elite sec athletic just from training. And to get separation in our league it's a much higher bar of athleticism and route precision. But who knows maybe he's just nursing a sore hamstring or nicked up and will play a role this season.

I wish the man well, and hope he does great things after football. But he is starting his 5th year here and his career stats are 75/1108/10. The top four WRs in the SEC last year (Nabors, Legette, Burden III, Thomas II) had better stats last year than #7 has had for a career. That is not a knock on #7, it is what it is.

I would rather give those reps to any of the 3 freshman or 2 sophomores WRs we have on the roster. They have more upside and, per the recruiting sites, have faster verified track speeds. And if anyone watched us last Saturday, you can tell that we lack speed on offense.

The difference in the game, aside from our QB not performing, was they had a guy who took it to the house, and we don't have a guy like that on our offense... that played. Their long TD run was a dude who made a cut and just out ran us.

Currently, we can't outrun a marching band.
