Wife and I went to COSM in The Colony Grandscape. It was amazing… anybody else seen this? This is what it looked like from the seats.

Wife got us tickets to it as well. It was very nice and amazing. Loved the booing when they tried to play over the Band at halftime.

Looks like $77 per person in reserved. They're showing A&M/Florida as well.

I would very much do that if one was close to me. With the production costs for each broadcast it seems they will have to add many more locations. Looking forward to trying it sometime.

The company "COSM" negotiated deals with live events to place extremely high def and wide angle stationary cameras at various locations in the live venue. They stream that signal to the COSM venue in Dallas (one in LA also). As a viewer at the COSM, you are positioned in a 3 deck room with a large high def dome LED wall that makes it look like you are there. It's not VR, it's just a crazy large screen that wraps around the whole room.

Kind of like a small version of Las Vegas' the Sphere.

$77 to watch a game on a tv outside?

Great so I could have paid like $220 per to be there in person but now I have a $70dollar option to watch it at a bar?

Nothing looks more foolish than tradition to those who have none.

Hey it's not my business model! But it's inside -- I think the "small version of the LV sphere" description above sounds about right. Somewhere between that and IMAX maybe?

I was there. I was one of the people yelling the loudest when they were playing music over the band at halftime. It was very impressive at first, as it looked very similar to being at the bottom of the third deck at Kyle field. Once the game started, the novelty wore off and I wished I were watching for free on a big-screen tv with a dozen camera angles instead of paying $99 for about 5 wide-angle cameras, along with $17 nachos and $6 beers. It was also distracting having the ABC broadcast audio, which was delayed by about 5 seconds.
