Just needs more Weed man

Going to be the first major litmus test for Elko. How quickly is he willing to admit what is obvious and make the tough decision. If we force Weigman all season then I am all the way out on Elko.

And the tape will show he missed other wide open WRs. It will not be a fun tape review for Weigman.

Elko just stated the PC answer after game one. If QB play does not improve. He will make a change.

I've been a Weigman fan, but I'm done. Highly anticipated game and he comes out and lays an egg. Worst QB performance I've seen in my lifetime. Trash! Put in Marcel Reed before he transfers!

Was I on drugs or was he not super accurate prior to getting hurt? His ability to read a D and throw accurately were his strengths that I recall. HTF does that just go away? I could see his mobility decreasing but a leg injury shouldn't effect those two things.

From what i keep hearing, his rehabilitation included a lot of puffing the magic dragon. Lately, when I hear him talk he sounds high. What a waste!

Those were his strengths. His weakness has been arm strength. However, watching last night left me confused and frustrated. He looked like he had the flu and was physically and mentally struggling, like his entire body ached, and simply couldn't do any better.
I have been a fan of CW since HS but last night it was obvious we needed a change to start the 4Q. I'm not saying a permanent change but definitely a change. Staff could evaluate after during the week if it needed to be permanent.

Jimbo would have said THE plays were there, the throws WERE there, CW was just a "half inch off, but the wrs can adjust to that". The play calls were there we just "didn't execute". Then he would tell a story bout how "Jameis used to throw like that too and it wasn't a big deal".

Weigman picks his receiver before the play starts and commits to it whether covered or not. He doesn't know how to adjust. It's also why we couldnt run any type of read option. There's no reading from our QB.

Some of ya'll act like Weigman is our only option. Reed was a 4 star (I think) and looked decent in his one start. And he was definitely the better looking QB in the spring game.

I would have felt better if Elmo would have simply said that he needed time to review the situation and that no player's starting position is guaranteed.

You want a spark? Put Terry Bussey in at QB. Needs to touch ball at least 10 times a game on O.

I don't think the Aggies are stuck with Weigman. There are other QB's available, but will they be given the chance? I would have liked to seen Reed or Henderson last night.

This offense is not a fit for him nor for the more elite quarterbacks we should try to recruit. I wondered about that decision when it was made. ANY offense works in the BDF.

Yep, this is the SEC and QB1 can have one bad game but this wasn't even in the one bad game category. QB1 can't "find himself" or "get comfortable"

I was the one saying the Jim Fisher offense was hard to understand. Now I apologize. We dumbed it down alright and then get what he got last night in front of the world.

I watched the whole game.

It was a weird game. The defense played well and gave up 13 points for 3.5 quarters when the offense did nothing was close to a shut out.

The play calling was not spectacular but not terrible. The QB play was disastrous. Missing wide open receivers on basic QB plays is why he had a 40% completion rate. Avg QB play would have resulted in a 10+pts lead entering the 4th Q.

If Weigman was not physically sick, then he is missing something and its something huge/not correctable. No way can a physically healthy QB have a game like that. It is either something mental or he doesn't have the tools.

ND did not look like a great team. If we played like this against Georgia or tOSU, then I would have hope. This ND team may end up in the playoffs just b/c their schedule is trash, complete trash. They will be favored in every remaining game by 7+ points.

Because we haven't seen one be consistently good in several seasons. If Weigman continues playing the way he did last night, this team won't get 4 wins.

I like Max, but he has been mediocre everywhere he has played. He is not a top QB.
