My daughter is a current student. Unfortunately she thought she purchased a sports pass for this year. When we paid fees and tuition we found out she did not have one listed. Unfortunately, they are all sold out so we can't add one. I am wondering if there is a market where students post passes they might not be able to use for a specific weekend game to see if she might be able to attend some of the games this year. Thanks for any info.

correct me if I am wrong but I think there is an option to pay something ($50) and you can convert your student ticket into a general admission ticket and then they sell on the open market. I am trying to remember how it worked back when I was there, but that was a long while ago.

She needs a student ticket if a current student. Can't reverse the general pop tickets to student by asking for a refund.

i was saying most kids not going are going to try and maximize their profits and turn it into a general ticket vs giving to a student at a lower cost. I could be wrong

There is a groupme specifically for this ask her to check it out. Students buy and sell theirs on there.

They sell as a student ticket and let the other person figure it out…heh.

For the big games there won't be tickets as long as they matter. Otherwise maybe. The Texas game always matters but even when sold out might have tickets available late. In 1979 Texas game student area sold out because everyone pulled their tickets and the third deck wasn't finished. I got scalper ticket end zone 1st deck student side for a pretty reasonable number. But the stakes are much higher this year…we won 10-7…

I'd recommend finding friends who will let her use a sports pass when they won't be going to that weeks game.
Other than that students can buy a student ticket on Friday's at the ticket pull window. She would pay whatever face value is of the ticket price that week.

Also don't pay for a sports pass that's priced 3x what the ticket price is that week. I'm fairly confident the 12th man foundation can revoke sports passes for students who are found to be doing that.

This shouldn't be allowed. Give students a huge discount and they can't bother to fill their sections, give them less. We don't need sips in there because kids never intending to go to games are trying to make money on them.

It does not quite work this way...at least when I was in school (I graduated in 2019). I know about guest passes and loaning them out because my wife (girlfriend at the time) went to Baylor and I took her to a number of games while in school.

If a student pulls a ticket, they can use that ticket to get in with a student ID. You can pull one additional ticket for face value of a student ticket ($25 for ULM or something like that, $50 for a decent SEC school, $100 for Bama or Texas). This extra ticket will be student only, unless you pay the fee to convert it to a guest pass, which is double the price of a student ticket.

So basically, it was set up so that the only way a non-A&M student would be getting in would be if they were accompanied by an A&M student.

As for OP's question, your daughter should join sports pass trading pages on Facebook or GroupMes where students trade out their passes or sell them for a week.

That is generally true...except this year. No additional tickets will be available to students for the '24 season.

Interesting...so it sounds like the secondary market for student tickets is entirely limited to students.

Yeah, not sure if that will be a one off thing this year because of the return of the Tex game or if it becomes the new norm based on the student growth.

Son says his friends from other schools have been hitting him up for ND, LSU, and sip tickets and he said they are out of luck.

Most kids not going probably aren't bothering to pull tickets for the game, they'll just sell the use of the sports pass for that game.

Sorry things went not according to plan on the sports pass
Tickets for lousy seats to non marquee games are available and she can sneak into the student section not as cheap as a sports pass and won't get her into the 3 big games this fall

You are mistaken, keep up with that plan though

I had the same thing happen to me and need help as well. It's my senior year and I want to enjoy it.
