Riley gets fired after this season so no worries on our end.

Trying to decide if I was a 4 or 5 star QB from California would I rather player for a program/coach in California who has had three Heisman winning and First Overall QB selections plus Jalen Hurts, or go to a school with a completely new staff and, while highly respected, still an up and comer OC.

Hopefully we can hang onto him.

It would be glorious if they canned him after all the nonsense as he left OU.

There are eight games on their schedule I would not be surprised if they lost.

What does any of that have to do with their current program, though? Why would that even factor in? Not a sound, logical decision IMO.

We are definitely an unknown, but USCs QBs under a different coaching staff are useless in a decision on where to play under a different staff in 2025.

They gave him an ultimatum to commit last week and he stayed with us. This post is just stirring crap up.

USC is in the Big 10 now, they'll also play games no one watches in Maryland and Minnesota this year.

And so you believe if USC (or someone else) comes along with more money he couldn't change his "commit". An ultimatum means nothing because all players can transfer freely at any time and for any reason.

I personally don't see why anyone who would want to go to school in LA. Traffic is like horrendous and the crime rate is through the roof. And LA isn't a true college town.

Now College Station and A&M is the total opposite.

I like our chances.

I was referring to Lincoln Riley, not necessarily USC.

The BIG10 is not a bad second to the SEC right now in any aspect you mentioned.

The Big 10 sucks for everyone besides Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State. As far as football fun which is what this thread is about. USC playing Rutgers, etc. fun times, LOL.

If he wants to run for his life behind a weak offensive line and then look at a defense that is defenseless then let him go to USC. That's what you get with Lincoln Riley.

Is it surprising that other schools are making serious overtures for a five-star quarterback?

If they did, it doesn't really make sense. Telling a guy it's his last chance to commit to a school that already has a 5 star QB committed, or they walk away? When the whole reason they are recruiting him is because their current five star may leave them at the altar in 2 months? Are they gonna tell Longstreet to fly a kite when that happens? Or are they gonna come begging on their hands and knees?
